(SB) Discussion Thread - 2024 WOMEN'S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES

stanford 4 OSU-0 mid 4th. Just wasn't Lexi night tonight and unfortunately it happened in an elimination game and possibly her last one as a college athlete.

 

I'm "OK" with both OK State and OK going out early.........

Geez, Okie St catcher. If you're gonna try to completely block the plate, at least hang onto the ball so the runner doesn't beat your tag anyway.

That was a clinic on how NOT to tag a runner at the plate. If I was their coach, I would have been too embarrassed to challenge it.

 

I never imaged Oklahoma State would not only go out 0-2 but score zero runs and only manage 5 hits in almost 2 games.

 

Kenny was not the guyefski.

 

I'm forced to pull for UCLA again. Ugh

 

I was shocked by their offensive explosion. If they get that type of run support, they will be very hard to send home.

 

UCLA in three different innings with runners on base and less than 1 out and they couldn't muster one measly run. Some TERRIBLE at bats and even WORSE swings......they deserved that loss, sorry to say........

 

Yikes, All-American Maya Brady has struck out six times in the last two games.

 

Unfortunately, this didn't age well.

It'll take a miracle against big bad Oklahoma to give UF another crack at Texas.

 

There are only 4 collegiate softball teams remaining playing in America.
ALL for the Gators, STAND UP AND HOLLER!

 

(1) Texas and (8) Stanford underway on ESPN.

If Stanford should win, both teams will then have a loss and will play a 2nd game (listed to start at 9:30pm) to decide who goes to the finals. That game might be on ESPN2, so stay tuned....

During softball today I thought they said that both "if necessary" games would be tomorrow, to be fair to both teams.
