DiMare “stepping down” as Miami coach

His record is actually better than I would've thought, but that in and of itself kinda tells the story about the DiMare era. They haven't really been worth paying attention to. That's not good enough at Miami.

If I were Sully I'd be all over this. They do have some good players.

PS. They have one of most obnoxious, Gator hating fan bases out there.

Would love to grab Blake Cyr....played solid infield, hit over 300, 17 dingers as a freshman

 

Let’s just make sure that they’re real team players and not that cancer in the dugout nobody wants to deal with.

Dimare is a cane thru and thru but always thought his hiring was a bit political and a reach. Assume the pitching coach Arteaga is gone also.
Cane fans are historically some of the most obnoxious around, but in recent years those I've run into expect to lose to the Gators in baseball. We need to keep it that way.

Never got out of the Regionals

 

I for one was hoping he would stay at least another 5 years and grind the program into oblivion. Maybe they can hire a D2 coach like we do in soccer with little to no success in their history. Embry Riddle baseball comes to mind.

 

Per HS and travel coaches he is a good kid

 

Get the starting pitcher Ligon. His Mom and Dad are both Gators.

 

I corrected the time frame to 42 years.

Rollins is in the DII semi-finals.

 

PS he was the Saturday starter against us this year. No decision.

 

Cool , I lived in kings creek and later briar bay area from 78- 87. Then we bailed out to Weston for about 27 yrs.

 

I’d take Cyr in a heartbeat. Who knows if he’d be interested- at least Windermere is a closer drive to Gainesville than Coral Gables.
