I have been watching UF sports since before SOS and it’s the first time it has happened, other than like 3 dudes trying it in ‘91 against FSU. UF expects to be competitive against everyone in everything.
And Honestly storming a court for a team that hasn’t won in Gainesville since 1996 is embarrassing. And then if you’re gonna do it, than do it - it was like 50 people out there for about 90 seconds.

The whole thing was just bad all around.

 

Embarrassing as hell. We would have never done that in my day. And we had some epic wins against Kentucky where we could have. It was honestly a half rushing of the court. Only a like 50 clowns.

But we are a two time national champion and they haven’t won one so it’s embarrassing.

 

Absolutely terrible.

Great Win!! But rushing the court today is not the only time we have resembled a mid major program. This just seems par for the course

Our much maligned bubble team just achieved the highest ranked home win in program history.
I’m good with it. I’ve never understood the “we are above that” mentality. College kids are above acting like fools? Ok

the first time we ever beat a 2nd ranked team at home, so one might argue it was our greatest home upset ever, despite us being only a 4.5 point underdog.

 

I'm a bit with the "we are above that" mentality, but not today. Today I'm all for it. This program has been snakebit in too many ways. Lotsa pressure released along with the euphoria of knocking off a #2 team. SOOOO many similar status programs see their courts rushed. The Gators deserved it today - players and fans. I'm imagining the players got a charge out of it.

 

I don’t like it anywhere, and I am a little sad we did it (halfway).
On the other hand, I totally get it. Very big win under the circumstances.

 

If I was there, I would not have poo pooed the idea. I know there were some damn big wins in football that didn't get the treatment but the basketball program needed a shot of adrenalin.

 

We have too much tradition to storm the court, especially against Auburn... a team that never won, and a team we regularly beat.
