Research data proves that Trump LIES constantly when he falsely claims migrants are prone to violence.

    FB_IMG_1721439658376.jpg

Trump is following the authoritarian playbook. He finds a scapegoat to blame for all our problems, in this case migrants, and hammers them over and over with LIES that they are violent invaders who will take all our jobs. In this way, he spreads resentment, anger, hatred and distrust of our institutions among those who believe him. He then presents himself as their savior, saying: "ONLY I CAN FIX IT!" This has been his strategy since he came down the elevator in Trump Plaza.

My point is that individuals making choices for themselves can never be a dictatorship. Consider whether these scenarios constitute a dictatorship:

I refuse to vote for Biden. Is that a dictatorship? Of course not.

What if many people refuse to vote for Biden? Clearly no.

What if I refuse to give him money? Still no.

What if many people refuse to give him money? Must be the same.

What if Biden himself decides not to run? Clearly no.

What if Biden would run, unless most people don’t want him to? No way.

What’s the worst we can do here? Biden wants to run, his wife wants him to, some voters want him to, but most people don’t think it’s a good idea, so he withdraws. No, no way a dictatorship. I’m fact, it sounds like the opposite, where the leader is curtailed by the people.

I just can’t see the dictator (or fascist) angle here. Who are the fascists, and in what way are they dictating your or my behavior?

The fascists are the ones that put Biden in office.

Do you honestly believe from the basement he set a voting record in 2020?

Mail in voting for no reason was a fascists dream!

Derpin' out a Stop the Steal conspiracy theory at this point of things?

Sad. Angling for a demotion into the minor leagues of Trumpy sycophancy - the league of feeble insinuation? Real sad.

You are a smart guy. I’m fairly certain you know I was specifically referencing the democratic primary when I commented on JB receiving millions of votes in the democratic primary.

Embarassing? Tad defensive. No surprise how you framed your argument. You knowingly falsely present it as if Biden is deciding between Olive Garden and Outback and free to choose either. You know very well he is being strong armed by his own party leadership who are threatening freezing new campaign contributions and support. He seems to want to stay so it will be interesting. Make no mistake if he does indeed drop out it won’t be voluntary, as your argument presented, and the next candidate will be selected by a small group of anonymous people and millions will be disenfranchised.

Lastly. Did you mention something about false claims regarding results of election ?

Can I believe that Biden earned 80 mil actual votes? Yes, I can. Why couldn’t he? Because he seems unpopular? I’ve been trying to push people on here to vote third party for the last couple of years, and even I voted for Biden. So great was my distaste for Trump.

From my perspective, it’s harder to believe that 70+ mil voted for someone like Trump. Does this mean that I believe that this was an example of fraud? No, because I am willing to accept that many people in the world don’t think like me. The same is true for you - many people don’t think like you either. Most people I know definitely voted for Biden. It shouldn’t be a total surprise for you that these kinds of people exist, as this board is full of them. Why can’t there be 80 mil of them in a country of over 300 mil?

Again, the Democratic Party is a private corporation and can do whatever wants, but to follow your argument, I felt disenfranchised with the Democratic primary voting, as basically no one was permitted to run against Biden. I’m not sure that was the pure example of democracy you are making it into here.

If millions really are disenfranchised by the selection of the next nominee, it will be very easy to tell. No one will vote for them in the general, because no one is obligated to vote for them, regardless of what the Democratic Party does.

The answer is yes. Why do people still underestimate how much Trump is despised? The vote was more against Trump than it was for Biden. Even the people closest to him despise him

Wow, I had never realized that Hillary Clinton told a stream of repeated lies about that election, and enacted a criminal conspiracy to overturn it.....just like the convicted felon Trump did!

Until now! They're really the same, and Trump did nothing wrong that she didn't do!

(That is your laughable false comparison and insinuation, correct? )

I learn the greatest things from gaslighting Trumpers!

You imply that I'm just repeating Dem talking points? I disagree but, well, perhaps......

Now look at you. You are trying to compare a few one-off comments from HRC to a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election from Trump, which obviously included a constant stream of public lying. You are making a feeble play at that classic Trumpy move used to justify his criminality; false equivalence.

But it's strange really. You're an intelligent, informed adult and you're not just, as you accuse me of doing, repeating party positions or talking points. You are actually gaslighting and lying for Donald Trump. Trying to, anyways.

Fascinating times. Intelligent people among us, whatever their politics, consider it acceptable to (attempt to) engage in dishonest discourse. Congrats, I guess.

Democratic Socialist Communist Party = Dictatorship = Doing their best to convert the US Republic into an authoritarian nation with one-party rule to follow if they get their way:

Oath of office requires Biden to enforce the laws of the US. He through his DHS has refused to enforce any of the US immigration laws. He has let armies of invading illegal aliens from all over the world cross the US southern border. In many instances, Biden has even flown illegal aliens into the US dropping them off at many cities throughout the nation.

Biden's new proposal to pack the SCOTUS and force required ethics, democratic socialist communist party ethics, on the 3rd branch of our constitutional republic. This follows attacking the SCOTUS verbally and refusing to enforce laws for the justice's protection after turning over Roe V. Wade. Just like Trump being nearly assassinated, a supreme court justice, Kavanaugh, and his family barely avoided being assassinated.

Sent up a test balloon to congress on taking over state national guards at the federal level which was opposed by all governors of states and territories in writing.

Weaponized all federal agencies and departments under executive control.

Ignores SCOTUS ruling on student loan debt forgiveness and also the will of congress trying to use purse strings that belong exclusively to the legislature.

Used lawfare to attack a former president and to try to put him in jail rather than let him run for a second term. Thank God for the SCOTUS.

Used lawfare on American people who disagrees with the federal government turning them into political prisoners. Declared war on 1/2 of the American people in a nationally televised address from Freedom Hall in Philadelphia in 2021. With the military background and red lighting, it was scarily more like you'd see in a dictatorship.

Last, but not least, the democrats are now working overtime to take Biden out of the 2024 presidential campaign after he won all of the democratic primaries in a vote by the people. The party elites have asked him to drop out. Now, they are telling him to drop out. Next, they will smear their party leader and forcefully take him out. If Biden won't go, I wouldn't be surprised to see an assassination attempt on Biden's life, hope not. So far, the party elites have refused to use the 25th Amendment to forcefully take out an incompetent president who can only function up to 6 hours a day. Never mind governance, the party elites want Biden out because he can't beat Trump. The incompetent old man in the WH could start WWIII, has the nuclear codes at his fingertips, and none of the party elites care about that. Damn the American people and their democratic party voters, full speed ahead. Have to win 2024 by hook or crook to maintain authoritarian power.

Bottom line, the Democratic Socialist Communist Party acts in an authoritarian way on practically everything they do. No other conclusion can be reasonably arrived at; they are a dictatorship over democracy.

EDIT to add to the list:

    Federal enforcement of rent controls:

Joe Biden's National Rent Control Plan Would Be a Very Bad Idea (townhall.com)

This week, the Biden White House announced a proposal to impose rent control measures on nearly half the U.S. rental market, forcing landlords with more than 50 units to cap rent increases at five percent or lose federal tax breaks, including asset depreciation write-offs.

Billionaire real estate mogul Jeff Greene called the president’s plan "completely ridiculous.” Greene argued that Biden’s proposal makes “no sense at all,” saying that he has no idea why the president would come up with “such a crazy idea” if he wants to appeal to independents and moderates.

National Association of Realtors: “NAR opposes misguided attempts to cap or control rental rates. Price controls may seem appealing, but they have backfired on local governments and harmed the people we need to help the most,” the group stated.

According to the Cato Institute, the measure would ultimately lead to a lower supply of rental accommodations and less housing construction, which would decrease the quality of rental housing.

As usual, I didn't read much of your post. But this section was interesting.

It reminded me of how the twice-impeached convicted felon Trump gleefully stood and watched for hours as hundreds of cops were beaten during the violent portion of his criminal conspiracy to overturn an election. And he did this despite multiple pleas from family and advisors to speak out to stop things. But he didn't. Because he didn't care.

Talk about violating one's oath of office.

It's like his followers believe nothing ever happened on that day. All made up, or it was someone else's fault. Sexual assault never happened, he never knew Stormy, he had a health care plan, he was going to release his taxes, he was going to put his businesses in a blind trust, he was going to take care of Iran, hydroxy chloroquine is great for COVID and it will just go away, the unfunded tax cut for the wealthy will increase GDP to 5 percent and won't increase the deficit, UE didn't reach 14 percent during his time in office. And a topper, he was not going to even see his golf properties if elected. It doesn't matter what he says or does.

A pretty obvious attempt to engage in a Gish Gallop.

    Gish gallop - Wikipedia

For example, let's start with the first claim: that the Biden Administration is ignoring the law around immigration. This is untrue. The law, as it is currently written, allows for a migrant to apply for asylum. Upon doing so, regardless of method of entry, they are now legally in the country until the claim is adjudicated. That is the law. What you actually want is for him to ignore the law.

    Here is the law:

    8 U.S. Code § 1158 - Asylum

The goal of this post is to overwhelm with falsehood and exhaust people rather than have a good faith argument on any particular point.
