Coming in as a freshman, he was one of the ones that had sky high potential. Massive power already. It's a real shame for him that he can't capitalize on it. If he played his cards right, he could have set himself up for life.

I was hoping he would end up being our version of Terrence Cody from Alabama. A big guy who was hard to move but very active in the middle. That light never really got turned on from him. For his own health's sake, I hope he can lose weight.

I'll never understand "fans" turning on a member of the team they supposedly support. Hope spring ball is productive for him and he proves some of you bozos wrong.

I can be a fan and also be realistic about a player without "turning on him." I hope he proves me wrong also but will not be holding my breath.

It’s dangerous. I hope he gets his life turned around.

If football is a success then great but most importantly he needs to be healthy

I don’t think anyone is turning o. Him. He has been a fan favorite from day one but you have to be disappointed. His weight just keeps going the wrong way. We all want to see him at 360 and playing on Sundays.

Some of you guys are so sensitive. Nobody's turning on him. He's been here three years and has failed to lose the weight he needs to be a really game-changer. Something very coveted in the NFL. It's a shame, that's all. He's letting opportunity slip away. We ALL hope he turns it around this year and does well for the Gators AND himself. Who would not wish that?

On a prior post on this thread, someone made a statement about Dez weighing in at 464 pounds.
I did some research and I found an article that was reporting on the Gator Spring Rooster and. It had some information on jersey numbers and strength and conditioning. It also had information on how the Gators are doing on strength and conditioning. The strength and conditioning part had comments on the the weight gain and loss for the Gator players since the first of this year.

The following is about Dez and is from the article (link is below):

"When he stepped on to get official measurements for this spring, he saw the scale once again go in the wrong direction, weighing in at 464 pounds. The continued gain suggests another step backward in his body transformation efforts."

We need to pray for this man to make some serious decisions and follow through on them. The prayers are about his playing football. They are for him to save his life!

I made the comment last March after it was reported he had lost something like 40 lbs. The "efforts" were better nutritional habits/discipline, sleep, etc. prior to that date. However, he gained it back and then some.

Kid was a composite 4 star despite being overweight in high school. Jordan Davis was a comparison for him (F the leghumpers) because they had a similar size and build coming out of the high school ranks. Davis became a 1st round pick. Watson is growing larger.

I feel for the guy. Such a waste of potential.

It is very hard to watch anyone, especially a loved one, who has a winning lotto ticket in their hands and not take advantage of it and cash it in.

I agree totally. We are only grading player potential or ability or on field performance.. none of us really know him..that’s not what it’s about. I’m sure he’s a great kid

I'm sorry but some of the comments are in poor taste. This is a Florida player.
