Which makes no sense at all considering he did not come in and at least try to play. Something is up with that situation.
Being hurt is the only thing that makes any sense. What's weird is not just saying so. If he was not hurt, I cannot imagine him having a roster spot again this year.
That 247 guy is wrong a lot, IMO. It's the damn LegHumpers. Losing 2 QBs . . . so once again POACHING without penalty. I hope and think Coach Napier will play some hardball here.
I can't really think of another quarterback that was injured and unavailable for a season that we didn't know of.
Exactly, we can't just let them take our players whenever they want and we don't take theirs. I'm not talking about taking their cast offs either.
Why would there be a penalty? It’s not the coach’s checkbook to play hardball with either. How much do you really want to spend on a qb you’re hoping never sees the field?
I don’t make the depth chart, but we usually don’t talk about the third string guy all that much either.
The third string guy last year was very important and it was warner. We would've lost anyway, but we could still end up with our third string easily this year also. You would think that would be millen as far as where he came from and who was on the roster.
Um . . . because another team isn't supposed to be contacting players signed with Florida who aren't in the portal. Who said Coach Napier was playing hardball with someone else's checkbook?
Who said another team is contacting players signed with FL? If you don’t think our guys are talking to guys on other teams through backchannels, I think you’re just willfully ignoring it. Tampering is going on everywhere. There is no penalty for it because nobody is enforcing it. You said you want Billy to play hardball. If you weren’t talking about money, what were you talking about?
He didn’t play and he’s still here, so I think it’s safe to assume he wasn’t on the bench for disciplinary reasons. I don’t think it’s all that weird not to get injury updates about UF athletes. I actually think it’s par for the course.
Does that rule still exist? Pretty sure he can just transfer in the spring window if we don’t release him. If the sec->sec rule is still in place, it’s only because it hasn’t been challenged. If it did still exist, I would’ve thought you’d see someone trying to enforce it by now. I haven’t seen it enforced (or attempted) since all the other restrictions went away.
Apparently it does....not sure if the athlete could challenge since the schools accept the rules of their conference as part of membership
