DeSantis Single-Handedly Turns Tide in Culture War - Execs Terrified They'll Become the 'Next Disney' (westernjournal.com)

When Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stripped Disney of its special districting privileges, he wasn’t merely holding the powerful corporation accountable for its far-left partisan antics.

He was also sending a message.

Many corporations, including Nike, AMC, Coca-Cola and Gillette, among many others, have followed in Disney’s footsteps by siding with Democrats in support of various “social justice” issues.

“Disney’s recent experience in Florida has captured the attention of C-suite executives at companies big and small, given the impact on its operations, many say,” the Journal reported.

Love that our Governor doesn't cower to the woke agenda mob

They are... they do NOT think Disney should be adding superfluous government by self governing...

If there was ever such a party for small government, it was in name only.

Doesn't seem to me to be about big/small per se, but I'll admit, I often don't understand what people mean when say *big/small government* Seems to me they mean more @ tyrannical/not tyrannical.

I am so proud of Florida's governor in his fight against culture. It's following in our great American history of outlawing/criminalizing cultures that are not pro-Christian & pro-white protestant. Native American culture destroyed/marginalized; Asian American culture destroyed marginalized, Women's rights destroyed marginalized, African American culture destroyed/marginalized, sexual choices between consenting adults destroyed marginalized. Peace love hippy culture, as above. Why can't politicians just do their jobs? Government for the people of the people- ALL PEOLPLE. So sad, the direction our country is heading towards.

The Western Journal. You gotta love crap source’s and people who hate the first amendment, the due process clause, and the prohibition against impairment of contracts.

Using the Media Bias chart (post 59 in the Links to reference sits that pinned at the top) The Western Journal is as far right as Salon is far left. If you think one should be banned as a reference then they both should.

It's a vindictive approach to governing that provides an incredible dopamine hit for the long psychologically aggrieved right-wingers who are pissed at the world for rejecting their regressive and antiquated thinking.

I'm trying to think of an analogy that might work here with the parties reversed. Not sure practically how it would play out for other companies since Disney is so unique. Perhaps a Democratic Governor/legislature targeting Chick-Fil-A or other conservative company for its advocacy?

It belongs in the abortion thread, but hearing Marjorie Taylor Green, cackling about Gods will and cheering the draft opinion really sent shivers up my back. Politicians these days are truly frightening. Even though they profess to be Christians, it is obvious they have not read the book. And as I explained to my teenage daughter yesterday, I am pro choice and anti abortion. All life is precious, but the government needs to keep it's hands off my body and off my guns.
