BS. Give me a Hogan, Romney, Kasich and Ill volunteer to help their campaign. Offer up another MAGA light and I'll vote dem to try and avoid the division, hatred, and abuse of power that they seem to base their existence on. Cheney earned respect for doing what was right rather than what was politically beneficial. If we had a lot more like her we would all be better for it

Would you have an issue if the firing circumvented due process/public notice requirements?

Well, if true, it’ll be reversed, right??

It wasn't noticed, they did it anyway.

Do you have an objection to elected officials knowingly ignoring the law?

Sounds like Governor DeSantis was within his constitutional authority as governor, if it’s not going to be overturned or reversed.

For all you complainers about RD, take a look at the vote count again. He only lost 5 counties in the entire state by a total of just over 150,000 votes. So yes, he has a mandate on how he performed in his first term. You may not like it, but the overwhelming population of the state sure did

I can't disagree with you because I do think DeSantis is popular in Florida overall. I do know Republicans who like DeSantis generally but were annoyed by his migrant stunt, for example. That doesn't mean they're going to vote for Democrats, of course. It's worth noting that Ashley Moody won by a bigger margin (over 20%) than DeSantis, and Marco Rubio won by almost as wide of a margin (over 16 points). Republicans also performed very well in the legislative races, getting super majorities. Maybe DeSantis can take some credit for what happened statewide given that he's the top Republican in the state. But I think the election results are also a function of the state turning more red. We will have to see if DeSantis has the same magic at the national level, but it's not untrue to say that he's got a ton of power right now at the state level.
