The awkward silence at the breakfast table with Andy and Opie there would be too much.

Obviously not but what percentage of two-parent homes with a stay-at-home mom do you think are alcoholic, physically or sexually abusive?

Do you think the guy is suggesting that women not be allowed in college?

I dont know, but the Rolling Stones literally wrote a song about moms popping pills and being drugged out of their minds to function. I imagine the percentage of two parents that are physically/sexually abusive is a lot higher than in 1 parent homes, that's just how numbers work. If a woman isnt living with a man, she probably isnt being abused by one! A man in the home almost certainly means a higher instance of sexual or physical abuse to either their partner or children. I think we need to get over the idea that there is some idealized form of family that renders dysfunction non-existent. People are people.

To make the point he fails to make in his MAGA attempts at one-upping the "libs", I think it can be safely said that kids are better off in two-parent households and probably better off in functional male/female two-parent households. But, at the same time, you have to adapt to "market conditions" and accept what you might consider less-than-optimal situations. But this blanket notion that this form is automatically better and, thus, must be forced upon the population is beyond the pale. But, again, kinda typical given who we're dealing with.

    I'll ask you again.

What percentage of two-parent homes with a stay-at-home mom do you think are alcoholic, physically or sexually abusive?

    10%? 50%? More?

Google is your friend. Stop asking me to do your homework for you.

    Typical lazy-minded MAGA.

moving the goal posts on the conversation. Idk what he’s suggesting beyond what he said.

“If we want a great nation, we should be preparing young women to become mothers,” Yenor said, “not finding every reason for young women to delay motherhood until they are established in a career or sufficiently independent.”

Yenor argued that higher education “delays growing up,” saying that college and universities are “indoctrination camps” that society should de-emphasize in order to make progress on “family matters.”
Every effort must be made not to recruit women into engineering, but rather to recruit and demand more of men who become engineers. Ditto for med school and the law and every trade,” Yenor said.

so yeah, sounds like he doesn’t think women should go to college. Maybe he would want to revise his statement. Maybe he misspoke. Idk I can’t read his mind.

it isn't the mom he is talking about. women dependent on men for their livelihood and shelter makes them mush more subject to abusive relationships, its one of the benefits to barefoot and pregnant to many men.

My mother, a college-educated woman married to a less than stellar man, successfully forged a career and raised productive well-adjusted children -- all on her own.

She would be absolutely horrified at some opinions and suggestions on this board. Because of educational opportunities, she advanced in her chosen career and mentored men and women in attaining better lives for themselves.

Limiting educational access to ANYONE in America is a mistake and a smokescreen for hidden idealogical objectives. And trying to impose a "traditional" two-parent family structure as a be all / end all for America marginalizes many and ignores reality.

My mother was orphaned at 13 and sent to college as the first in the family by her brother until he died on Okinawa. Her education changed her life, the lives of her children and grandchildren. An educated society is a strong one.

The percentage is obviously going to be quite a bit higher than in one parent homes.

Not accord to yenor. Women are in jobs like HR and environmental protection. They are “quarrelsome” and “medicated “. And it’s their fault men “lose their way.”
