You would think but if he doesn't have quick feet, a fast DE will beat him on most plays. I worked with a 6'8" 320 T for the Bucs who couldn't get off the practice squad because of poor footwork. He was out of the league in 3yrs.
The same can be said for a guy who is 6'3. The difference is if the wingspan is greater it is that much harder for the DE to get around the 6'8" guy than the 6'3" guy. CBN scouted his basketball games to assure the footwork, so he should know. We are WAY bigger than UM in the trenches. That could mean nothing in the end, but it is striking the stark difference.
I would be, he’s way beyond his optimal playing weight, which is down to discipline and determination.
I hope having him on KR isn't real. I know they have the "or" listed but I def wouldn't want to risk him taking hits there.
2 things: 1) Our touted OL transfers apparently haven't been able to win a starting job outright on this line and 2) our OL was awful last year.
All the talk in camp was about possibly moving him the OG. His footspeed isn't great for an OT. I hope you are right, but the results of his work so far doesn't suggest him suddenly turning into a dominant OT.
