I refuse to believe that this poster is serious. He is just trying to get people’s ire up. Nobody could be that myopic

So two wrongs makes a right? Over 90% of the BLM protests never turned violent. The ones that did, the people who committed crimes were rightfully arrested.

So were those arrested for the crimes the committed on Jan 6. And Babbitt? She was committing a crime when she was shot, by police doing their duty to protect the people they served. And again, had the police not done their duty, does anyone think Babbitt and the group she was with wasn't going to hurt the Representatives?

So you think that these 2 people who no one of have ever heard of calling for nullification is worthy of its own thread? Why do you think it is important?

It's a shame that the Trump/MAGA cult warped her mind to the extent that she joined a treasonous mob and got shot trying to bust through locked doors at the capitol.

To be honest, given that she was committing the CRIME of trespassing in a situation were hundreds of police were being violently assaulted, and there was a legitimate possibility that lawmakers would be physically assaulted.....it's not surprising that she, or someone, was shot by law enforcement.

Similarly - how would you feel if someone was shot while criminally trespassing into someone's home? Never mind if there had been ample violence outside the home before the criminal entry.

There's no need to answer - you wouldn't consider it a "shame." You'd probably be glad that the criminal trespasser was shot like they deserved.

You only care about AB because.......Trump!!

What does that mean? Can’t you articulate why starting a thread about the opinion of two unknown democrats is important?

"An opening" is quite the euphemism. Do you mean the window that the mob had just broken to violently invade a part of the Capitol that was being used to evacuate members of Congress? If a mob busted open the windows of your shop and somebody climbed in without an obvious weapon, would you view them as a threat?

That "girl" advancing through the window into restricted space was a 35 yo woman who should have known better. Babbitt was an unstable, impetuous woman by accounts. While still married to her first husband she repeatedly smashed her SUV into a car being driven by the former girlfriend of Aaron Babbitt, who she married after divorcing her first husband. Citing ongoing harassment the former girlfriend obtained multiple injunctions against the future Mrs Babbitt.

When Ms. Babbitt's body was examined after the shooting a paracord knife was found in the pocket of the allegedly unarmed deceased.

Correction: She was no longer a simple trespasser, she was a burglar. She wasn't simply in a building without permission, she was physically forcing her way into a section of the building with the intent to physically assault people.

No, I'm not comparing Babbitt to Bundy. I'm just showing how utterly ridiculous it is to post a photo of someone smiling in some feeble attempt to show that person isn't capable of being a dangerous threat.

You crack me up sometimes with these posts.

All people are asking for is a cogent response and yet all we get are one liners. If you're so staunch in your position that one claims it takes a "profound lack of perspective " to compare acts or that there was "no reason to panic" then elaborate and defend your positions instead of just throwing out quips.

Maybe it's because you know the details of ashli "entering an opening" or "her acts" that day sound a whole lot worse than what you guys want to portray. Ashli, despite an officer repeatedly demanding she and others stop and while at gun point was so undeterred and emboldened by the mob behind her that just shattered windows in the capitol and forced their way to that point, was the first person through that shattered window when she was shot. That's not a slanted perspective. That's just what actually happened.

I'm not even "a libby." It's crazy how warped politics have become that arguing against what happened that day gets you called one though.

No, I think it's very much a shame that so many people have lost their minds and joined the MAGA cult. It's a terrible thing for our country and we're all going to pay for it.

If quantity is the most important metric in measuring the seriousness of a crime would you say that gang members who may have committed multiple murders and attempted many more have committed more serious crimes than the two guys attempted to assassinate Trump?
