We do need to admit that the democratic leadership as of now doesn’t seem to be able to do the job. Their responses have been slow to nonexistent, their messaging has always been a disaster, and they seem to be living in a bubble unaware of what will attract voters to their side.

Trump is another David Koresh in that he has a seemingly unexplainable magical power to attract people to him, which is needed for every cult's charismatic leader to have in order to survive. His supporters would be willing to die for him while free-thinkers will reject him. The Democrats don’t yet have that leader, and neither do the republicans for the 2028 election. Anyone trying to be a second Trump will fail.

There’s no telling what the upcoming election will bring as far as issues go, but it’s apparent to me the current Democratic leadership needs to either step aside, or at least listen to, and take seriously the concerns of the voters.

I remember the same conversation about the Republican party in 1976 when Ford lost to Carter.

You either didn't bother reading the article or are intentionally misrepresenting the results of the poll. A significant percentage of the respondents who had a negative attitude toward the Democratic party are lefties who didn't think that the party was aggressive enough in its opposition to Trump.

I would also add that both polls as well as others have Trump underwater in his handling of the economy. He polled positively on that metric on every poll during his first time as well as in this term until the most recent round of polls.
    From the NBC poll.
Meanwhile, driven in part by a pessimistic shift among Democrats since Trump’s election, just 18% of voters rate the economy as “excellent” or “good” — not as low as the poorest economic marks during the Biden administration, according to CNBC polling from 2022, but within a handful of points, and as low as that mark has been in NBC News polling since 2014. Majorities of voters disapprove of Trump’s early job performance on the economy (54% disapprove, 44% approve) and how he’s handling inflation and the cost of living (55% disapprove, 42% approve).
    From the CNN poll:
About half of the public, 51%, say they think Trump’s policies have worsened economic conditions and just 28% that they have improved things. Another 21% say they’ve had no effect on the economy.

A probable recession was baked in the cake Trump inherited.

Inflation lags money supply (M2) increases by roughly 14-23 months. Per Milton Friedman

The best thing Trump can do for the economy:
    1) Drastically cut federal spending. Encourage State and local governments to do the same
    2) Expose waste, fraud and abuse whether it's committed by Republicans or Democrats
    3) Reform healthcare to a more free market system like Singapore has. Excellent care, everybody's covered, 70% less expensive
    4) Help lower IQ people in their own countries, don't bring them here. Anyone who comes should be smart or rich, no criminal record, compatible with our culture. No Muslims

I will be interesting to watch this and see how it impacts the democrat machine in the next cycle, especially if wrongdoing is found -

Chaos and fraud: A look at the allegations facing ActBlue

The Democratic Party's premier fundraising machine is facing an uncertain future amid investigations, staff departures, and political headwinds. ActBlue stands accused by Republicans of illegally collecting money for Democrats during the 2024 election by using deceptive methods. But its brushes with controversy go back further than the last cycle. And its next chapter could be consequential for a Democratic Party that is out of power and directionless. Part 1 of this Washington Examiner series will look at what accusations ActBlue is facing.

    +

ActBlue is a not-for-profit payment processor used by Democratic political campaigns at all levels of government and left-of-center activist groups to handle online contributions. The platform plays a vital role in the liberal financial ecosystem, having processed well over $16 billion in donations since its founding in 2004.

The liberal payment processing juggernaut, however, has been thrown into disarray. The New York Times reported on March 5 that at least seven senior staffers resigned in late February, including its top legal officer. The reason for the exodus is not yet known.

    +

Historically, ActBlue has processed donations for groups that participated in violent protests during the George Floyd riots, handled payment processing for bail funds that released violent offenders onto the streets, and provided the financial infrastructure to keep pro-Palestinian campus protests going as they illegally occupied quadrangles and campus buildings.

ActBlue primarily processes donations to Democratic political candidates and campaign organizations. A tiny percentage of the donations processed through them goes to the organizations described above and by the way even the descriptions of those organizations are inaccurate.

Trump inherited an historically strong economy. In fact from Clinton until now it was the Democrats that inherited a failing economy and fixed it. The Republicans are horrible on the economy.

“President-elect Trump will inherit unquestionably the strongest economy for an incoming administration since the George W. Bush administration. That strong economic performance heading up to the 2001 transition, moreover, was largely buoyed by an overvalued stock market that was about to deflate and cause a recession. There are no such obvious macroeconomic imbalances that look set to drag on growth in 2025 or beyond.”

President-elect Trump is inheriting a historically strong economy

Well I presented you with factual information from an unbiased source, and you rejected it like any lover of Mother Russia would.

This tells me that Democrats are tired of their politicians trying to play the middle and trying to be bipartisan

You people continue to use the term cult. Did you compare him to Koresh, who had maybe 100 followers? Trump had 80 million votes. That is quite a disparity. Those votes consist of black, white, Hispanic, old, young, male, female, gay, and new voters. Don't have such awful policies if you don't want the Orange Man to kick your ass. The Democrats are losing voters by the minute. You sit for kids with brain cancer. You attack people looking for waste, fraud, and abuse. You are against deporting illegals and, just recently, criminal illegals. You stand up for dudes using female restrooms and playing in their sports. You are the cult. You worship government. You are now 20% of the country and your actions are decreasing that number daily. Your choices suck because your policies suck.
