Lots of them. The most notable was Bush/Gore.

In races that are not close, provisional ballots are not usually counted.

When you say 60%+ percent, are you talking about the mail-ins from Clark, because overall she isn't doing that good. But even if this 7% margin holds ... 24000 x 7% is 1680. That would be enough to put her over, but just barely, pending the provisionals. This might come down to less than 1000 votes, and I've heard some pundits say the last wave of late voters can be unpredictable.

I believe she will lead by a number closer to 20% in the remaining Clark votes but yes, anything is possible.

Hard to believe there are so many Hobbs/Laxalt voters out there.

The 52% includes all of the votes from Clark County including those cast on election day not just the recently counted mail-in ballots which are responsible for closing the gap. While this article is from Thursday, it is illustrative of the distribution of newly counted votes. Considering that Cortez Masto has narrowed the statewide gap from 22,000 on election day to under 900 last night it should be obvious that her margin with respect to the newly counted votes is at least 60 percent and that should continue.
Clark County: More than 50,000 mail ballots remaining to process

When there is a democrat president and a Republican Congress there tends to be the most fiscal conservatism. Republicans in congress amazingly rediscover their antipathy for government spending and deficits and democratic presidents veto excessive tax cuts.

Second best is Republican president with democratic congress.

Having split congress tends magnify the effect.

You can go through 70 years of presidency to verify that but that is almost always the case. I’ve seen articles written that make the case empirically but they were a while back.

Looks like the Senate will take up a bipartisan marriage equality bill in the lame duck to try to protect against the extreme court. Will post in that thread as well

That’s what the Dem have now. A very slim margin. Don’t need but a margin of one to take the hammer

Oh they will do it. Reagan came after Jimmy & increased it 90%. Trump came after Obama & increased it. Enjoy living in a myth.

because what we need is more punitive politics. I guess the pubs didn't get the message if that is the apth they pursue. spend time and money chasing Hunter Biden and ignoring the attempted coup and all the other problems facing the country. go team. this will be the surest way to lose control of the house if they go down that MTG path. And it takes both chambers to amend the budgets
