While the majority of crossers are single men, there are more families with children crossing now than ever before. And in 2022, nearly 130,000 unaccompanied minors crossed.

Makes me wonder if our resident racist thinks about gamifying shooting immigrants? 10 points each for able bodied men and women traveling alone. 5 points for seniors. 15 for able bodied teens (faster reflexes) and 20 for kids under 12 (smaller targets). And an additional 10 points for hitting a parent and child in one shot!

Sound ridiculously insensitive and repulsive when you reduce human life to video game points? It should. These are human beings, desperate enough to leave their home. They deserve compassion, not hot lead. Especially when we have a need for their labor in this country.

 

Yes I am a Native American thank you very much. I am not an Indian no. I think it's cute you think Indians in any way are innocent here. Should we review all of the various wars between Indian tribes long before Europeans ever step foot in North America? Indians had no problems killing people from other tribes. Those "native" lands that Indians try to claim, very good chance they weren't the first ones there. Very good chance they killed another tribe or whoever came before them to get that land.

I never said white people's hands were clean. No one's hands are completely clean. Let me remind you that in the era of slavery in the U.S. where did the white plantation owners get their slaves? Oh that's right they had to go to Africa where blacks were enslaved by fellow blacks. Funny how your side never wants to discuss that blacks have for centuries in Africa enslaved other blacks. If it wasn't for that there wouldn't have been any enslaved blacks to even buy. Africa is one of the last few places where even today blacks still enslave other blacks. Where blacks are slaves and are owned by, gasp, other blacks. Someone like you also always conveniently ignore that, if you look back at history, there have been many groups of whites that have also been enslaved.

No one. Not blacks, not whites, not Asians, not Hispanics, not Arabs, not Indians, no race has clean hands if you look far enough back into history.

And you know what, if the Indians wanted to keep their land so badly they could've defeated the European settlers in battle. That's the ironic thing about war isn't it. The winner gets to dictate what happens. The winner gets to write the history to their own advantage. The winner gets the land. Once the Indians lost the war they lost any right to that land. While I hate war, that's the brutal truth.

I was born here in the U.S. and I have lived my entire life here in the U.S. I am a Native American. I am just as much a Native American as any Indian in this country and that will be the truth until the day I die.

Of course you go the racist angle. Say it all you want, I could care less. Democrats have made a mockery of the word. In many ways it shows I've won the debate, as you are the one resorting to name calling. Let's review what I know your opinion is one race:

Blacks proud to be Black - Good for them, be proud of their ancestors!
Hispanics proud to be Hispanic - Look at them honoring their culture and being true to themselves, good for them!
Asians proud to be Asian - Look at them staying true to their roots. Remembering where they came from!
Whites proud to be White - Evil!!! Racist!!!! Nazi!! Must be destroyed!!!! How dare they not be ashamed to be white!!!

Did I get that right? You know I did. The only racist here is you. Liberals hate any white person who isn't 100% ashamed to be white. I don't hate Hispanics or Asians or Blacks. I would much rather them just try to build their own countries that they can be proud of and can truly call their own. Is it really wrong for whites to want to have a country where their culture is dominant? I don't ask that mockingly but truly as a question. Let's review:

Blacks will always have Africa
Hispanics will always have Central and South America
Asians will always have Southeast and East Asia
Arabs will always have the Middle East
Whites will always have ???????

Again this doesn't relate to immigration specifically. I don't care who comes in as long as they follow our rules, do not abuse the asylum system (most of them currently though do) and go through the legal immigration process. But you want immigration for one reason and one reason only. To long term make the U.S. a non-white country. This debate aside, eventually you will get your wish. At that point your hope is Democrats will be so entrenched in power they will go absolutely unchallenged and then Democrats can have their so called utopia. I think your side is completely wrong and it will be far more of a nightmare than utopia, but I know that is the long game here for you and your side.

 

I would say have the drones do it, that way it isn't on any individual's conscience.

For me personally I wouldn't take any joy in it at all, it would be terrible. But to protect the country yes I believe I would. It's a war and that would simply be the combat zone. Some of the ideas I've discussed on this thread would try to prevent this from being necessary.

You seem to think it will be a blood bath. Here's what I think would happen. Yes a few, maybe a couple hundred or couple thousand would die or be seriously injured. But you know what would happen after that? The immigrants would stop trying. It would no longer be worth the risk.

And when that happens that will get down to the immigrants on their way and the immigrants who haven't even left the country. The memo will be out, the U.S. is closed for business. So then they don't make the dangerous trip. They don't put themselves and their children in danger. And if they do it's to go to another country, not the U.S. But they don't come here. So then they aren't putting themselves at risk and they, gasp, stay alive.

It's a dramatic solution, I agree, but the point would get across to the immigrant community very quickly.

 

What is "white" culture? I suspect that you don't really mean "culture" as there is no unifying "culture" for most races (including those that you list above).

 

White people have Europe. My ancestors come from Ukraine, Poland, and Austria. My wife's from France, Germany, and Ireland. Our kids are Americans of European decent. We celebrate our heritage when I make my great grandmother's brisket recipe, or mondelbread dessert. Or when my wife makes corned beef and cabbage with soda bread.

I also enjoy the multi-culteralism available living in the US. Our niece hosted an exchange student from Australia who said the most amazing thing about the US was the selection available in the giant grocery stores, and eclectic restaurants where foods from around the world are all within minutes of each other. Sorry if what amazed a teenage kid from Australia about our country disturbs you. That's your problem.

And since you are white, what shithole country did your ancestors come from? And don't you feel lucky that when they arrived here, they were allowed to live and thrive, and weren't shot on site?

Diversity is not a weakness. It's a strength. And people who risk everything to come here because there's nothing left back home shouldn't be shot for their troubles. They should be welcomed, especially if they can find a job and stay out of trouble. Just v like my ancestors. And just like yours.

And no, this won't destroy our country. It's what our country was founded on. Immigrants seeking a better life to avoid famine, war, religious persecution, violence, etc. Where would we be without the Navajo Code Talkers, or all the immigrants seeking to risk it all for better life?

Racists like you have been an unfortunate part of the US. 150 years ago, you'd be the one with the NINA sign in your shop. Or complaining too many Italians were coming and the entire country will be run by the mafia and be beholden to the Pope. Those racists were wrong in the past, just like you are wrong today.

Actually we are. The drug trade is a demand driven economy. Drug use by Americans create the demand. Maybe we should proactively shoot drug user too to prevent the demand.

Well, to be fair, there was your suggested policy about shooting border crossers. I think that one raised some eyebrows.
