Trump should try it - it's called speech writing and most Presidents use it. It may even make him sound less like the crazy uncle in the basement

I am in the minority on this outside of the MAGA cult, but…

I sincerely believe Trump hasn’t read project 2025 and agree he has no clue what is in there. There is no way he sat down and read a 900+ page policy guide, thought about the pros and cons and blessed it.

He didn’t listen to his advisor in the past. He wouldn’t read important briefs according to advisors. He hasn’t “claimed” it as his and probably hates that project 2025 isn’t called Trump’s America plan.

Project 2025 is dangerous, but Trump will make his policy decisions based on ego, personal grievances, the feel he gets from the crowd at his rallies when he brings up certain topics, effectiveness of other leaders manipulating him, and, most importantly, anchoring to his original gut feeling despite data.

Project 2025 makes a moral argument that all porn should be illegal. How in the world could Trump be involved.

The scary part of Project 2025 is it is a mixture of stuff that he would do with all the stuff that his advisors would do without bothering to tell him. There are some things in there that he would do (I have no doubt that he will remove people in agencies that report data that he doesn't like, including economic data and scientific data). But no, he won't get into the weeds on much of the crazy stuff. He will just turn the guys who tell him how great and smart he is loose.

I couldn't care less about him either except he is in the election and he matters. I was impressed with what she said, her background, family, upbringing and how that was woven into her career, in 'prosecuting' Trump, and her vision for the country, foreign and domestic. And even though read, as all the speeches were, it was well written and spoken genuinely and impressively.

I agree with he probably has little idea what is in it, but disagree that those things wouldn't happen... or at least much of it.

First time around he appointed people to destroy agencies. He will do the same but this time they have a plan.

Your message appears to be "he doesn't read stuff [obviously] and he doesn't do stuff, so this 2025 thing is harmless." Problem is, he appoints total stooges to do the actual work of the exec branch because he things they benefit him somehow. These stooges are the ones who will do the damage.

I’d like to see her do some Q&A honestly.

    Not impressed thus far.
She didn’t impress many Dems in 2020 either and I haven’t seen her do much in the last 4 years that would show me she’s any better.

Okay, sure, she may have gone over her values and a bunch of stuff about foreign policy, national defense, and the economy. But do we know what she thinks about Hannibal Lecter?

I didn’t say it was harmless. I specifically said project 2025 was “dangerous” in my post. Some of the shit in there is just so out there and Trump is so impulsive we don’t know what he is going to prioritize.

You and the other two replies are very fair and when you put it that way, I’ll change my stance to say it is very dangerous. My last post was based on the fact that Trump promised to wind down numerous agencies with the “drain the swamp” 2016 campaign slogan and none of that occurred. Probably unwise to assume he will not appoint competent individuals that are able to execute the crazy, but detailed and potentially actionable, ideas.

I follow John McEntee on social media and he is the weirdest of the weird. Everyday he posts an aggressive social stance, always over a plate of food, takes an aggressive bite of the food, then smiles into the camera and shakes his head. Goofy tactics and crazy views aside, he’s apparently very effective at getting shit done.
