Interesting how the Dems here and all across the nation deny what even the Dems themselves are NOW admitting...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' new election crimes unit has recommended state police open a full criminal investigation into a Democrat whistleblower's detailed complaint of a long-running, widespread ballot harvesting operation in the African-American communities in politically important central Florida.

Former Orange County Commissioner candidate Cynthia Harris filed a sworn affidavit in late August with the Secretary of State's office alleging that illegal operations to collect third-party ballots have been going on for years in the Orlando area where voting activists are paid $10 for each ballot they collect.

She described an intricate system funded by liberal leaning organizations that dispatch ballot brokers into black communities to pressure voters to turn over their ballots. The $10 fee per ballot is divvied up among the parties who help complete the harvesting. The collection and delivery of ballots by third parties is illegal in Florida.

Arizona prosecutors have achieved several convictions in that state for ballot harvesting, most recently securing the guilty plea of a former Democrat mayor in Yuma County. True the Vote filed a complaint in Georgia alleging thousands of ballots were harvested in the 2020 election, but those allegations have not yet been corroborated as authorities negotiate with the nonprofit group for its evidence. A Wisconsin investigation unmasked a sophisticated ballot harvesting effort targeting vulnerable nursing home patients in communities like Racine, Wisc.

I can't claim my observations meant anything but if you counted votes by yard signs and bumper stickers democrats would never win an Orange county election. After spending 25 years of driving all corners of Orange co there was no doubt overall there was always far more republican signage than democrat signage.

And yet, the only voter fraud in Florida was by Republicans....likely repeated all over the country.

The GOP has developed a rather bizarre idolatry of Trump and DeSantis. Shirts. Flags, Bumper stickers and yard signs. Boat parades.... I couldn't imagine flying a flag of a politican like it was a sports team or anything. It's insanely creepy. The left had this to a lesser extent with Obama as well. Semi-related to your post, but that's my rant.

Rick, if you would like to come out of your fantasy world for 5 seconds, I have provided the link to the Secretary of State's webiste in Florida.

You will see that there is no news of an addidavit, nor probe by DeSantis.

There is a link at the bottom for you to put in a records request and try to find it yourself - hint - it doesn't exist anymore than the 5G cell towers transmitting viruses and the thousands of dead 18 year olds from COVID shots or any of the other cr@p you people keep making up to justify overthrowing the government.

Reminds me of the small town of Lake Wales, FL that I grew up in. A few years ago in a city commission meeting, the head of the housing authority, a gentleman named Booker T Young, went around the minority sections of town offering ballots and transportation to the local election to the local Black community, many of whom lived in housing which he was responsible for getting them into. He "suggested" they all vote for the downtown barber shop/gun store manager John Paul Rogers. John Paul was a Lake Wales man with an 8th grade education and as desired, they turned out and voted him into office. What the Black community in Lake Wales didn't realize was that John Paul used to be KKK Grand Dragon. It was fairly well known among the white community, but for some reason nobody thought to mention it during the election. John Paul had a rather unpopular run as a commissioner and later ran for Mayor, an election for which Lake Wales made the national news.

I think the only boat parade that ever influenced an election result was Washington crossing the Potomac.

The New York Times said, "Democrats are outspending Republicans 57-to-1 on television ads for their secretary of state candidates. It still may not be enough."
Democrats have raised and spent $40 million to gain control of who counts the votes.

I did pull up a YouTube of what appears to be her making those statements. Didn't see an Affidavit or news about a criminal investigation. I'm not sure if a formal criminal investigation would be a matter of public record. If it's not, then I'm not sure how she would know about it unless she has inside information.

Ballot "harvesting" isn't new and laws differ by states from what I can tell. Some states allow others or family members or someone designated by the voter to drop off their ballot. I don't know the details of Florida law but read a couple articles indicating Florida recently increased or planned to increase the penalty for violations.

If her allegations are true that people were getting paid to change votes and invalidate ballots in support of her opponents, that's pretty clearly fraud and I'm sure criminal by any standard, and those people should be charged. Of course, we do have to be a little skeptical when candidates who lose elections make claims of fraud given the possibility that it's sour grapes. If she's willing to provide names and be put under oath, then absolutely legitimate for that to be investigated.

It appears that Florida's new election law says that only family members or the head of the household can turn in ballots for other people. It was fully legal for the 20 years before that.

I saw the video of her talking about it. Her concern was that people were buying the ballots and throwing them away or changing the votes. I guess the strategy could work for either side. It is worth investigating her claims, starting with asking her for evidence or more details on how she knows about it.
