Prime doesn’t need to recruit at Alabama’s level to win a natty, but the writing is on the wall that he clearly will. I’m not sure how efficient CU’s NIL program is, but get that right plus Prime’s hustle and he will be recruiting against Saban and Smart from here on. The momentum at CU right now is like nothing I’ve ever witnessed in college football. His sideline has hall of fame NFL players on a weekly basis and he brings them to practices too. I really can’t wait until he knocks Saban and Smart off their perches.

I don’t know that he will clearly recruit at Sabans level, but he’s getting money outside of the normal NIL channels that most schools use. He’s getting big time corporate sponsors that don’t really care about CU.

Here’s a towel to wipe your mouth….he beat a team that has averaged 4 wins per season for the last decade. Not to mention Nebraska QB did everything to help Colorado win.

We're talking about the guy whose us of free agency inspired this:

Lawd, I hated him back then. But his brand was navigating the best deal on the way to the Super Bowl twice on different teams. I feel like if he can't bump CU's NIL game up a few notches then it is because CU doesn't want to.

Colorado won ONE game last year, and I believe four the prior year. Just stop, it's embarrassing. Give credit where its due.

The players will run through a brick wall for him and it shows.

Colorado always has been a sleeping giant. They were very good under McCartney in the 90’s and split the National Title with GT.

Prime can definitely do big things there.

I'll be very surprised if he stays long enough to do anything, my guess is he heads to the NFL soon.

Exactly what I was thinking, once McCarthy flames out again.

Idk , he’s always said he doesn’t want to coach in the NFL

This 100% is going to happen. Jerry Jones likes making a splash and loves publicity. Deion isn't much different in that regard. And Mike McCarthy is on a pretty short leash I imagine.

I don't know if his coaching would translate to the NFL but I didn't think he would be successful so fast at Colorado, so obviously I was wrong.

I think Deion likes the whole mentoring young men thing. That won’t play well in the NFL

There's giving credit where it's due, like stating CU has made an impressive turnaround, and then there's engaging in wild speculation like declaring that the writing is on the wall for Deion to win a title and regularly compete for recruits with Saban and pals.

I'm impressed with what he's done, but let's at least wait until October 1st after they've played USC and Oregon to declare they're headed to national championships.

He’s beaten Vegas by a combined 48 points in his first two weeks as HBC. I need a new towel. Brb.

I'm assuming there is a little bit of hyperbole in the OP's statement, but he is correct in that there is a level of attention at a no-name school like CU the likes that has never been seen before. From high level recruits to pro players to even hall-of-fame players with zero connection to CU raving about their progress.

Whether he gets to the national championship game, that's obviously to be seen, but the path is clearly there.

Edit: I forgot to add, as we have seen with Kirby and a few others, you start attracting talent, which he will, you can mask some of your coaching flaws (not that I have seen anything significant yet from Deion). I suspect they will lose, even get blown out, by the USC's of the world, but the noise and fanfare is there.

I also want to add, his son at QB helps because a) the kid is smart, and b) has the talent and mental makeup to make them a quick success.

Cormani a 5-star as well, before he’d coached a single game at FBS level. That’s going to turn into a lot more 5-star recruits in the next few years.

In fairness there wasn't any history to go on for the sports betting crowd. It's not like he's a known quantity. Apparently he knows how to coach a team.
