Where has he openly admitted he misleads and lies?

And people who work at UF might not want this exposed for their own reasons.

Additionally, while we're on the topic of DEI, the fact is that DeSantis's own political appointees were PUSHING DEI back when it was very politically popular in the summer following the George Floyd murder. And the Chair of DeSantis's Board of Governors for the State University System was the Global Head of DEI at J.P. Morgan lol.

Not expecting anyone to take it as gospel. He did gain access to internal documents and posted a link to the documents in the article. Anyone interested can read them and form their own judgement.

The posters on this forum are more interested in shutting down debate by name calling than considering perspectives they don't like.

Because he believes CRT to be racist.

"The goal is to have the public read something crazy in the newspaper and immediately 'critical race theory.' We have decodified the term and will recodify it to annex the entire range of cultural constructions that are unpopular with Americans."

He isn't hiding the ball. He openly admits his goal was to redefine CRT to encompass anything that is unpopular. I guess he somewhat succeeded. Republicans certainly use "CRT" and "woke" that way.

I suspect that if every student, faculty and staff member were required to take mandatory diversity training, that little news nugget would show up somewhere other than an internal document.
    What do you think?

Not all 152 pages, but I've read some of it. If you are interested, take a look at slide 84. There are definitions of "white privilege" and "white fragility."

    From slide 93:

    "One Step at a Time

    A Personal Journey

    1. I have come to admit that I am powerless over my addiction to racism in ways I am unable to recognize fully, let alone manage."

Or expose CRT for what it is: racism.

Yes, a framework pioneered by Black legal theorists to explain why facially neutral laws are enforced in a racially discriminatory manner is very racist. You and Rufo the Clown are welcome to continue making that argument.

In fact, I used to post here somewhat often, but haven't done so in about ten or so years.

I see it hasn't improved. Ad hominem attacks instead of discussion are the currency here.

Yeah I skimmed through the source material and I don't see how it corroborates what Rufo claims in his article. Can you show us how it does?

"Officially, the university has reported to Governor Ron DeSantis that it hosts 31 DEI initiatives at a cost of $5 million per year."

Can you show us which pages of his linked documents corroborates this claim?

Fabulous example of how Rufo misleads. That wasn't a mandatory training session. It was from an optional presentation (one of five going on at a time) at an optional conference where the presenter sought to present on white privilege and white fragility.

CxUF Agenda – Learn & Grow

Rufo's documents only include the powerpoint, so we have no idea about the context of the slides you are referencing. And, of course, even if we disagree with the presentation, attendance was voluntary. I've attended optional presentations and heard perspectives I disagree with. Isn't that what should happen at universities?

Rufo throwing a tantrum over UF wanting a diverse faculty is especially revealing.

I believe that's accurate based on what they reported to the state when DeSantis demanded a bunch of information back in December.
