Defensive Rebounding

    Do they have the attitude to go snatch rebounds? That's not something you can extrapolate from their performance in other conferences. Time will tell after the season starts.

    Rodman started at Cooke County College, a JUCO, and became arguably the best rebounder of all time. If our guys have even an ounce of his "want to" we'll be fine

    That said, boxing out is KEY - even (sometimes especially) for our guards. EVERYONE needs to find a man and box him out, every time, without fail.

    Totally agree technique and wanting it more than the other guy are the keys to success.

    It's a magical skill. I used to play pickup ball with guys from work. If I was choosing teams, I ALWAYS picked my buddy. Let's call him Allen, 'cause that's his name. He played high school ball but was only about 5'-10". Damned if he didn't always get the lion's share of rebounds. He just had a knack for knowing where to be and then going hard after it. Not a great shooter, but relentless and tireless.
