The QB's will have to have another game like today to pull that one out. I expect Gus to come off the bus with a team that's ready to play.
And replace them with who? As I said I do not think you are allowed to bring in outside coaches mid season.
I don't think there's much that can be done this season to have a meaningful impact but Roberts made us worse so I wouldn't mind seeing the executive coach of whateverthehell get booted lol
And that big ass QB that transferred there from Arky wasn't exactly easy on us last year Edit: to mods, when I referred to the competence of coaching I was referring to Arkansas. UCF has more competent coaches than does Arkansas. I could see how you'd make that mistake though, lol.
My feelings exactly-I never ever in all my years (season ticket holder and booster since 1985) as a Gator have ever wished my Gators would lose (Followed coaches from Ray Graves to current)
Allow Armstrong to call the defense again. Roberts is too conservative. Say what you will about the defense last year, but they were in position most of the time and couldn’t finish the play. You can’t say the same about the past 4 games.
I mean, I'm holding out hope too. It's UCF, and I haven't watched them so idk if they're any good. But I won't be surprised if they run all over us simply because it's a Gus offense and our D is bad.
I have to say though. This bye is coming at a perfect time. Need to get some guys back before UCF, Tenn, and UK.
Weak! Weak! Weak! How can we be so weak up the middle? It astounded me how Miss St. would run what amounts to a dive play up the middle and get 8-9 yards. The most frustrating was them doing it on third down and long and we still couldn't stop them. I don't who is really running the defense, either Roberts or Armstrong, but whomever it is should stop.
Which is surprising because we have the talent per our staff's evaluations and the services rating our DL out of HS. Add that we have a new DL coach who was really working that unit preseason and I expected a better unit. Not sure what to make of it.
It is clear this is Robert’s defense and he has been making the play calls from the sidelines. Napier confirmed it a few weeks ago.
