Wow did you miss the point by several thousand miles. Most of these people are asylum seekers, meaning they are here legally until their hearing. Many also have family already residing in the states, and according to the DC Mayor, she thinks the immigrants are being told they are going to go meet with their family. But instead, they all end up in the D.C. area.

If the migrants were bussed to where their family members lived, then they would have a place to stay instead of having to use a homeless shelter. That's the point. If we are going to spend taxpayer money to transport these migrants, it's better served to send them to a place where they can stay, i.e. family, rather than need to use more taxpayer money to shelter them in homeless shelters.

Of course, if you think of these immigrants as less than human, but rather political pawns, you don't care, and laugh at the D.C. Mayor being forced to use limited funds on housing them.

Why are we busing them anywhere other than back to their own country?? If they are seeking asylum then they need to be bused where the court is, have their hearing and go from there. What do you think is happening at the homeless centers where there fed are busing them to? Or Texas's and Arizona's homeless centers? If Dc don't want them then fix the problem and the states wouldn't have this opportunity. Fairly simple!

Well the Biden administration is offering them up every day. They will even take you on a plane, but only in the middle of the night.

The Texas governor thought it would be cute to bus them to DC. Just wasting tax dollars on nonsense

What percentage of them had someplace to stay? Was the federal government trying to get these immigrants to their final destination or were they just leaving them in Texas?

Hard to find any hard numbers, but this link suggests at least 25% of blood family already in the US. That doesn't include extended family, like good friends who treat you just like family.

The Fed generally doesn't transport the immigrants after they have left the original detention center. But several non-profit groups like churches have done this in the past. But before they churches have been getting a hold of them, the state has grabbed them and bussed them to D.C.

A much better way all around would be an extended guest worker program. And allow employers who need the employment to transport the immigrants to where they are needed.

The American public is being tricked that these illegals are over here in the first place.

Isn't seeking asylum the standard answer they give? Might be true but more often than not I bet it's not. And then they can go do what they want until the slow process of the court system plays out?

Even if turns out they do not have a legitimate claim of asylum and by the way a majority of asylum claims are denied, they're still entitled to a hearing to present their cases. If they lose they can be deported.

Exactly. It’s all a trick. In actuality there are no immigrants, these are all crisis actors and the scenes from the border is actually a Hollywood production filmed on a massive soundstage in Burbank CA. Oh, and JFK is currently the President of the United States. All these truths are self evident on the YouTube.

The mayor can complain all she wants. Fact is the people are in D.C. now. I expect many will move out of D.C. to the surrounding metropolitan areas in Maryland and Virginia. To be fair there is nothing stopping the mayor from busing those that want to leave D.C. elsewhere.

Washington mayor torched as hypocrite for complaining about border migrants bused to DC (msn.com)

Fox News host Pete Hegseth said it is ironic for Bowser to call for a coordinated response from the Biden administration, when that is what Republicans have been calling for since he took office and chipped away at Donald Trump's border security policies:

"I've been wanting Greg Abbott to declare an invasion which gives constitutionally the state of Texas additional powers. And I downplayed what he was doing on busing illegals to D.C.; I think I was wrong on that," he said.

"They're not being tricked. They're being asked. They're volunteering to go to Washington, D.C. as a result. Now they're flooded in swamp. And she's admitting what we always knew about big city leftist elitists," Hegseth added, saying the admission is that the "elite" class wants the rest of America to suffer under their policy decisions, "as long as they're in someone elses backyard, not ours."
