Good-bye my dear friend and brother... I know I'm not alone when I say I will miss you deeply. You made life so much better just being yourself and I do appreciate the friendship and kindness you showed me. R.I.P., David. To David's family, I send you my deepest condolences in this time of unspeakable pain and sorrow. I will see David again one day. Disregard some of the lyrics and feel the message instead.
What a terribly saddened day. It’s been a very tough year or so for this community, losing two of it’s pillars, first Ray, now David. I will always remember how much David beamed with pride and love when talking about his precious and talented granddaughter who played the violin. My thoughts & prayers to David’s family, friends and everyone whose life he touched. Rest In Paradise David, you will be greatly missed down here.
When words fail to convey, just use what you have. RIP and thanks for the memories. You are a TRUE inspiration!
One more Gator to greet us one day on the other side...peace to you and your family. He will watch his team bring home a championship this weekend from above.
THIS Dave came home to die. His pain is over. He is doing great and being reintroduced back into his eternal life. All is well for him. Praying helps him move forward most quickly back into his heavenly family. So, please continue. It stings when you know one stand up guy is no longer with us physically. Like right now. ET tried to gently let us know that David came home to die, not convalesce. ET…excellent job. Everyone should have a friend as good as you. DAVE…THIS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP….IS FOR YOU.
What a shame. Tremendous loss. God bless his family. David, you will be missed. I pray every night for folks, including our GC brethren. May God Bless us all. And, may the Good Lord comfort David's family and friends. We're losing too many of our brothers... Go Gators.
This was the place to be for so many years due to his vision for this site. I hope the Gator Basketball team can win one in his honor. RIP to a great Gator! Condolences to his family and friends.
David, may you rest in heavenly peace. During the Zook years, you were tough on me and PD, but you were always fair. I respect you greatly, and hope your transition was smoother than silk. Give our best to Ray, Todd, Kim and the gang for us all, GatorGrowl...
We are all terminal. Appreciate all while we are together. That is the message. True, the emotional pain is with the grieving family. Pray that pain is lessened to a manageable level. Be kind and forgiving to all, not just the great guys like Dave. We will be with him soon enough..and then we will remember what this experience was all about.
Here is the brief notice: David Edward Shepherd (1952-2025) More will probably come in June with his Memorial Service.
ya'll need to stop making me cry at work! maybe it was angels on the hardwood and Growl stripped the ball out of Sharpe's hands, who knows
