Between transfers and injuries, I wonder who the heck we're gonna put on the field. Maybe we can pick up one or two good ones this spring in the transfer portal.
His name didn't ring a bell with me either, so I looked him up. While nawlins above me mentioned he was a Hevesy project, he actually signed in Napier's first class. Scout lists him as a 3 star, but also doesn't rank him among the top 1000 recruits that year. (Other 3 stars were ranked as high as the 400s.) He was 1 of 5 signees that year that were not ranked in the top 1000. I guess the synopsis is that he was a low-rated recruit, so perhaps he was over his head ability wise. I still hate that it didn't work out. We've had other low rated OLs do well, and it's too bad he didn't as well..
His injury last year set him back, plus being passed up by the guys who transferred in. He wasn't going to see the depth chart until 2024 or 2025 season.
Yes. Hevesy recruited him, Napier honored his scholarship offer and signed him. He didn’t pan out. Not a fan of projects, so few of them really pan out.
