    I'm not one for conspiracies, but I agree this was staged. Dabo's response sounded too rehearsed.

    With the run Clemson has had over the last decade considering their history, not much room for reasonable heat.

    I think the proper answer is not to go on radio shows so you're not in this predicament. Talk to the people who write the checks and the AD, not couch coaches and QBs who call into the Finebaum show. But I don't think when you're like top 3-4 in your job in the country over the last decade, and an idiot chews you out over the phone over how "terrible" you are, I don't think Dabo is required to just sit there, nod his head, and pretend like that sort of opinion is completely normal. It's ridiculous.

    Coaching in football is unique in that you can be top 5 in the country at your job, and still have half of your customer base calling to fire you if you just happened to have a few bad weeks.

    I'll tell you what, if I was the best ditch digger in the country who worked off the clock and gave my blood, sweat, and tears for the company... and my boss still yelled at me for having a couple bad days... I probably wouldn't take that and I'd dare him to fire me.
