They have an ELO of 54 and an RPI of 43. 4 quad ones wins by NET (since everyone has such a chub for that wildly over valued and borderline meaningless stat) but only 1 by RPI. Need one more good win to really be in the conversation probably. But will be interested to see if they start to show up on next four out rows.
I don’t claim to be nearly as big a fan of women’s basketball as men’s so I don’t know it as well. But the predicted rpi team sheet on our larger page here says 5-1 would be our projected close. If we did that, our predicted RPI would be around 40, which would likely get us in if the other metrics caught up to it. 4-2 might still be bubbly. 4-2 would get a bye for SECT and a good shot against bottom part of the conference. So...keeping some optimism. Which after LSU, was wrapped tightly and buried in a concrete bunker out back.
Magic number seems to be 8 conference wins. Usually if an SEC team hits 8 wins, they get it. Believe I've seen one here or there at 7 wins get in.
Espn updated their bracketology this AM, we weren’t on the first or next four out rows. Thought it was about 50/50, but shows there’s probably still a ways to go.
