Agreed. Some in our board react to every coach leaving into a referendum on Napier….why are coaches leaving from Georgia?
Yeah I'm not gonna jump in with the chicken little takes but I have to say I'm not liking aTm at all with taking a guy that was with Napier during his time at Louisiana. Not bothered as much by the others and the recruit but I'm curious as to why the departure of loyal staff member. I imagine pay and position increase. I imagine aTm just keeps throwing more moneymat anything they want.
aTm does this to Georgia too with nothing to show for it yet and without weakening Georgia. You just go out and get more young guys that the recruits connect with. It's not rocket science.
Why? Hamilton finished his work with him. He's not an on-field coach. Doesn't seem anything like the California type of mushy kids who would get homesick. That being said, everyone is nothing but a one-year signing these days.
Solid hire as both Sale and Stapleton were both inside guys. This guy is the opposite or at least it looks like he has some experience with the outside guys.
Solid hire? This looks to be his first on the field job. Another coach padding his coaching stat on what looks to be Billy’s year.
The pessimist in me doesn’t see the resume as something to get excited about or even worthy of hiring to a major college staff as an on field coach. The optimist says maybe in reality he’s Sales’ assistant. Maybe Stapleton and Sale didn’t have great chemistry in a “co” role. My optimist side has too many maybes to be comfortable with.
