Brian Hartline is under consideration to be W Virginia's next coach. Somebody tell DJL and CBN to get Jeremiah Smith on the phone please.
No way we get him. And we will have trouble getting most 5 star WRS. Smith, Egubka and Tate had 57. 60 and 41 catches for 2300 yards. Howard threw the ball 350 times our top WRs had 37, 36 and 19 for 1600 yards. These kids pay attention to that stuff.
They had more 10 win seasons in his last three years there than since he left 17 years ago. His last three years they finished top 10 post season AP. He only left because a college blue blood program came calling. It will be interesting to see what he can do there again. Sometimes in life people just fit well in a job and that very well may be his. He’s had three losing seasons since 2002. I wish we could say that.
Imagine UNC might be able to attract good portal talent if Bill adds lot of NFL coaches, his sons, and implements NFL development system.
He probably knows some really good front office people to help with NIL and roster management as well. In the new semi-pro environment, having NFL experience on staff may have perks beyond just selling recruits that you’ve been there before.
i think he’ll leave UNC in better shape football wise than what he’s taking over. I don’t envision a natty title of CFP birth, but i’m certain he’ll hand the keys to his son ready made
Possibly. To me the biggest thing is how does he adapt xs and Os wise? He is a smart guy, but can he dumb it down enough for a college kid to win?
This seems to me like kind of a similar situation to Colorado and Dion. A lot of hype, although a different type of hype. Will recruit better, and will probably hire OC's and DC's that do most everything. I'm definitely curious on how this will turn out.
