Key word “proclaimed” He calls his doper patients “losers and idiots”. Later in another post he “proclaimed” to be a “dentist”. I think he’s really a “lawyer”.

To be fair to your wife she wants to control people. Not a gender thing…

Data? No. It is a subjective thing. I perceive it and you don’t. OK. I don’t think anyone would answer in the affirmative when asked if they want to control women but among those with strong anti-abortion beliefs also reside strong beliefs in traditional roles which are also limiting for women.

We don’t need to convince them we need to thwart them.

Seriously??? So it's up to the woman to make sure she doesn't get pregnant now?The man is just a brainless participant? Sounds sexist to me. Everyone knows unprotected sex could end in a pregnancy, but it doesn't always. Sometimes the rubber breaks, or the birth control fails in some other way. Some people have too much to drink and have consensual sex, but regret it in the morning. Gee I wonder how many times THAT has happened?
Waiting the 24hours makes zero sense. There are women who don't have the resources to go back 24 hours later and if they were there in the first place, they aren't changing their minds. Women don't just wake up after being concerned they might be pregnant from that one night stand and say I need 24 hours more to think about it. Chances are they have been worried about it for weeks.

I assume you believe in allowing the over the counter sales of the morning after pill then?

I'll take my chances that snuffing out the life of the most vulnerable of humans is the bigger evil.

10-20 years ago? Are you referring to the Unborn Victims Violence Act? Because while that is indeed more recent, BUT many states had felony laws on the books for much longer than that.

Florida Statute 775.021 dates back to 1974. Many states have similar and even older such statutes.

I agree. In both cases the children should be saved. Glad to see you've come around.

Tell your liberal friends who use the "controlling women" language.

And unless you are some fringe anarchist libertarian, everyone wants to "control" someone.

I was including almost every state. The Florida Law was actually passed in 2014 (the statute you cited is not the statute, it is 782.09). Looking at National Right to Life's website, Alabama passed it in 2006, Alaska in 2006, Arizona in 2005, Arkansas in 2013, Georgia in 2006, Indiana in 2018, Kansas in 2007, etc.

There’s only a child in one of the cases. I apologize for your confusion.

Again. I think this is a speculative claim.
Now I would agree that those with more restrictive views of women likely think as you say. I just seriously question the numbers. I also challenge any fellow Christian to back up a limited view of women with anything Christ ever did.

The scriptures cite women as the first people Jesus appeared to after His resurrection. Which would be very big visual in a Hebrew text. Jesus would be doing that with intent. Intent to change the view of women in the Hebrew culture. He also confided in many strong women and sided with them when an unfair law seemed to convict them.

No doubt people twist and manipulate for their own gain, bit the modern church is tearing down many of these old views and most American Christians dont prescribe to the views of our grandfathers.

775.021 was on the books in 1974, and changes, amendments or new laws have no bearing on the fact that language of its kind existed much longer than you are saying.

Tell that to the mom devastated over the loss of her unborn child when she miscarries.
