I think you mean to say that the anti-EC crowd believes it should be that way, at least wrt electing a POTUS. Clearly they, like everyone else, can see that that is not the case.

No, not really. My issue is with people being unwilling to take a rational look at when we should modernize the Constitution, or take a fresh look at things. Obviously, what the FFs said is not written in stone.

Absurd. Cities can't "tell" anyone anything. Their government could, but clearly not in a Presidential election. If more citizens have chosen to live there, then so be it.

And no, those people won't "tell everyone else what to do", just because there are more of them.

Where would that logic stop? Places with more Black people get higher EC representation? There are more teachers than astronauts. High astronaut locations get disproportionate EC representation?

"NO," you say, "Only farmers and rural people deserve a higher proportional representation in the EC!! Otherwise, they'd be IGNORED!!"

But are not those Black people currently "ignored", as a smaller net amount of voters? Are not the astronauts "ignored"? Of course they are -IF "farmers" are. We just arbitrarily decided who that is an affront to. It's outdated and absurd.

I beg people to read like one history book, and also look at the track record of presidential systems anywhere since the 17th century

How many times did Kamala get blasted for not being present at the border? How about Hillary getting ridiculed for not campaigning in certain states? Can’t suddenly pretend that showing up doesn’t matter.

Wasn't Arizona a swing state? That would explain the multiple visits. I was responding to a post that said a R candidate would not visit Oklahoma, yet Trump did visit.

How many events in the GE for 2024 or 2016? I think that was a one-time event due to no place wanting to be the first Trump rally location in 2020 during Covid. And given the local spike in cases (and Herman Cain's death), it might have been a smart move not to take that one.

What? I mean many of these candidates speak in multiple states in one day. Here in Wilmington, they literally do it on the tarmac.

    No voters are asking questions.

    What am I making up?

Arizona was a swing state. Which is the point. Swing state voters get a ton of attention. Non-swing state voters like in OK? 1 rally in 2020, and 0 in 2024. That's because both sides knew OK was going red, so why even spend a dime there if you don't have to?

You mean an entire voting block? I mean, your argument is that prez candidates showing up to meet with/speak to the people does not matter. That's a failed argument.
