This is Florida, not West Virginia.

I hope your right actually. Gain a lineman but lose respect. We shall see how it plays.

But I will say this Wanne, the game has little dignity left and those in charge made it that way.

What we are posting about is exactly why I have such regrets about the loss of amateurism.

Pride, commitment to a University, academic integrity, history - have all been pissed down the drain by persons with one overriding motivation: money.

I suppose it was inevitable. But I'm not the only one that feels a sense of loss from reading posts here about the subject.

I will still follow and love the Gators, it's ingrained in me, but there is this nagging ghost of the past, sitting on my shoulder telling me it's all for sale and a championship trophy will just not mean quite as much.

Yes, to some degree… but not always though. Cormani is a good example …that door closed after that nonsense, even when he wanted to reopen it. And as far as White & Tarq leaving, from what I understand it wasn’t just their decision.

It’s always been about cash but there have always been players that want to win above all else and those are the ones who actually win.

Not even close to that, but funny analogy nonetheless!

There’s more in play than talent. This one comes with baggage - and maybe more

    I resemble that remark:confused:
(my family is from Orlando, but for several years was relocated to Fairmont, WV. So my claim to fame is that I was born in West-by-God Virginiao_O)

I would hope that both parties at least discuss the situation. I don't know the reasons he left and I don't know what bridges were actually burned, but if he decides he wants to come back and if the coaches want him and believe his head is truly in the right place, I can accept that. If they determine he's not sincere or just don't want to deal with him, I can accept that too.

Well from what I read, Ethan allowed ZERO sacks in his 3 years at UF. If true, why not let him come back?
UF qbs has been running for their lives behind UF 's OL for the passed 3 years. But Ethan allowed zero sacks, so it isn't his fault to why the OL can't protect the qb, is it? Seems like an easy décision to let him rejoin the team.

If indeed this is where we are in today’s world we are in a bad, bad place. Rewarding non commitment and quitting is akin to paying blackmail.

It does. If he can’t play longterm and have an nfl career, it doesn’t make sense to play college either.
