Almost every quarterback looks worse when under pressure.

When’s the last time we put pressure on another team’s quarterback?

He is probably a decent college QB, but i'm not buying all the hype. If he was worthy of all that praise, he would have gone in the draft instead of going to Miami. He is there trying to raise his stock so as to be draft-able.

His issue is that he is playing his first game in a new system, with new teammates, new coaches, playing against an unfamiliar opponent in one of the loudest stadiums in the country. That is a tall task for any QB let alone a decent QB.

Yes it is about who he is. Is he a winner who will step up on the big stage with real pressure?

Anything is possible I suppose, but the 12-12 record as a starter (with a 4-8 road record) doesn't exactly scream "can't miss prospect." And the 44.7% comp avg, while being pressured, is like money from home for a hopefully much improved UF defense.

And I think it’s mainly off of Miami’s joke of a 2024 schedule. UF coming off a 5-7 season is their second toughest game. An FSU team that returns 10 starters (including 2 on special teams) is their toughest opponent. Smh

After seeing DJ today, I'm open to the idea that high-profile transfer QBs might be a smidge overrated.

I'm firmly in the cautiously...maybe overly optimistic crowd but as much as I want to agree with you, we have made many average qbs look like world beaters. That has to change and I hope/believe this is the year we do it.

Dial up the pressure and get those turnovers. I’ll trade big plays for turnovers any day.

He has a great arm and is very accurate. As with any QB, pressure diminishes his efficiency. We have to keep pressure on him, even though he can run, it is obvious that he is not in a comfort zone when doing so.
