(GYM) Correct or Corrupt: The judging incident in Florida

How this (and all the other judging problems at this competition) might have even happened and why it was allowed to stand, why it matters, why overscoring gymnasts isn’t actually a kindness, and why there’s no public accountability.
There has been an uproar from the Missouri meet last week on the scoring. Chloe Clark's vault had a 9.95 start value (Yechenko Full). She had an obvious large bounce back and receive a 9.75 from 1 judge, which was what it deserved according to the commentators, and a 9.95 (which is the highest score for a Yechenko Full) from the other judge, which was clearly wrong. Then on Trinity's beam score, she took a step forward on her landing, but still received a perfect 10.00. Again, the commentators were shocked and said everything was perfect until her landing. Later, both Chloe and Trinity went on their Tik Tok accounts and posted clips of these routines and commented how these scores were off. Then on bars, Kayla's routine scored a Perfect 10-and deservedly so. She was followed by Trinity and Leanne, who both scored a 9.975. Their routines were just as good, if not better than Kayla's. The commentators agreed and were perplexed at the lower scores. Then there was Missouri gymnast on beam who grabbed the beam to avoid falling off, which is the same thing as falling off the beam, but the judges scored her without subtracting for a fall. there are other questionable scores which are discussed in the podcast you can listen to here
