These are some pretty shocking videos of what is going on in China. They had hard lockdowns for three years and only gave out their own comparatively crappy vaccines, refusing western mRNA vaccines, and unlike here their older population is not as well vaccinated. Then they just abruptly opened up and decided to let her rip. Now ERs are completely overwhelmed and some estimates are there will have a million deaths, although you won’t officially see that with their government reporting.

They didn’t want to use US vaccinations, they wanted to use their own. Which BTW are more similar to traditional vaccines. I guess they didn’t have enough time to develop their own mRNA vaccines. Also for some reason their elderly there have a lower vaccination and booster rate which is going to compound the problem.

I saw that some western observers in China were estimating 250,000 deaths from Covid, while the Chinese government was stating 63 deaths. Funeral homes and crematoriums are overloaded to the point that they are stacking bodies in shipping containers behind the facilities, and hearses are lining up 40 deep outside the parking lots. Cremation in Beijing costs $1100 with an unknown wait time, or $3700 to go to the front of the line.

I’ve seen over a million deaths mentioned a couple of times. We will never really know. They are going through in a few months essentially what we went through over the course of 3 years.

I can't fathom the amount of times we are going to have to listen to the usual nutters again. "Staged, crisis actors, NWO, control, blah blah blah." Amazing how some people will reject anything as plausible and then accept whatever staged or misleading spoof because it satisfies their beliefs. One example being the time they thought they had a gotcha moment like this one below....

If you figure 60 percent infection, that’s around 720 million people. If the death rate in that group is a half a percent, that’s 3.6 million deaths coming. But deaths lag infections by weeks, so we haven’t gotten to that mess yet fully.
And those numbers may be conservative estimates. China is older than the US, their vaccine is less effective, people are being forced to work in person, the general population is more concentrated, fewer have been vaccinated, their hospitals are beyond overwhelmed, and critical info is being controlled by the state.
The fear from this is a new variant that puts us back to square one.

My impression is that they (the Chinese government) specifically refused the mRNA vaccines developed in the West.

It was a chance to show the world that China could do anything that the west could do. The narrative from China's leadership to China's citizens was (for many years) that China was at least as technologically advanced as the west. They have a space program, a modern military, and nice architecture, and more college graduates than just about any other country. In their minds, they were superior to the west, so developing a vaccine should be easy.

My seat of the pants guess was a little under 2 million. It’s weird though because the news released by the Chinese government is almost worthless. It’s half propaganda and the other half is lies. We shall see how this plays out.

Yeah we will probably never know. It’s largely dependent on just how good or bad their vaccine is, and if it underperforms in this wave they will never say so.

If China loses 3 - 5M people, mostly elderly, how will the remaining population react? Outrage or acceptance?
