No need for him to die but if he suffered greatly it would serve him right. Maybe it would change his mind and he would start to care for his people.

Had to rate that optimistic considering our situation here.

Some people just are who they are.

I personally don't think anything would change his mind, why I said maybe.
Bolsanaro will come out of this and say it was nothing no matter how severe his symptoms may be. He could be put on a vent and come out the other side and claim it was just a cold.

New Zealand has now gone 100 days without a community case of COVID-19. While it's nice to be a smaller island nation, their disciple is nonetheless impressive. They did a hard 3 week shutdown a couple of months ago. They are now fully re-opened. From twitter:

Who knew that giving a virus no place to spread will lead to it dying off?

And yet Trump still blames China for withholding info about severity. Jan 24 Xi told world. Trump didn't listen

China is still not being honest about their numbers infected.

What does that have to do with the factvthat they told the world in January that it was dangerous and moving human to human?

Well when you try to correlate how fast and how far things will spread, data is everything. It wasn't scary when it infected a 100 people in China. It got scary when it infected tens of thousands in spain.

The problem with facts is that you can’t change them.

The chinese do and did. They kept it a secret for two months and then admitted just partial truths after they could no longer hide it. Lots of people handled this viral outbreak poorly and it started with the Chinese

Trump inherited all the tools to deal with the pandemic, including a CDC staff in China that was downsized from 47 people to 11 since Trump took office. That included epidemiologists and health professionals that would have been very helpful in alerting our country's leadership with on the ground intelligence.

Second, at this point, how can anything this POTUS says be trusted? I just watched him say that children essentially don't get the disease from the 'many people he has talked to', and yet we now have a 90% increase in cases in children as school started back up Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in U.S. Children Rose By 90% in About Four Weeks This Summer, Bringing the Total to Over 380,000.
More than trying to shift blame, it's always more productive to ask how we could have responded better and that buck stops with the POTUS.
