Yeah, they are mostly deciduous and not pine. Peak here is usually around mid October. Some trees were just starting to show changes today (you can see it a bit on the leaves on the foreground of the first picture and a smaller number in the second). It should start to to be visible in my pics by next weekend I would bet.

I know everyone has been hitting the refresh button waiting for the updated stats from world o meter. I was out of the office last week and unable to update them so we have a full week of updated numbers. Over 6.1 million tests last week and that puts the US having tested over 30% of the population. The positive rate per test dropped to below 7%. Surprisingly, there were 13 states with a decrease in active cases, lead by Florida which saw it's numbers go down by 50,000. And total active cases in the US dropped over 4,000 since last Monday. There were 8 states with 1-14 deaths and just Vermont reported 0 deaths last week.

COVID, online schools mean kids are skipping start of school

More fallout from keeping schools closed. Zero reason to keep schools closed in the US. These awful decisions will cause issues for years to come especially for the poor areas of the country. The means of the many outweigh the means of the few really applies here.

i see fauci is criticizing florida for opening up more, funny, things are going well and he hides like biden in the basement, but if a hint of something opposite of his beliefs happens he resurfaces, guess he likes the limelight.

from covid 19 tracking. for september so far average of 800,000 daily tests, with 40,000 new cases for a 5% positive rate, guess that uptick kicked in, oh wait, it has not over 3 weeks from the holiday, guess, and this is blasphemy, fauci was wrong, oh the horror.
