One of the shows tonight was talking about it and they said "increased stress and isolation".

More abhorrent acts from the White House; in this case the WH coronavirus task force. Sorry if this was mentioned, but the article is dated Sept 17.
C.D.C. Testing Guidance Was Published Against Scientists’ Objections

Not only was the document not vetted by the CDC; it consisted of "elementary errors" and was obviously not written by individuals with the necessary scientific knowledge. Apparently, HHS also dropped a doc into the CDC website about reopening schools, though the CDC is consistently neutral on such matters, instead sticking to science.

This would explain alot. Seems India is the epicenter now.
Fortunately some nations seem to be more resistant, African nations?

One may recall that the primary driver for slavery was an African gene trait that was malarial resistant.

Maybe if they figure out the natural immunity elements it will help, in the long run, with disease containment or eradication.

As has been discussed ad nauseum, some of the SE Asian countries didn't get hit hard because they aren't selfish asses and actually wore masks.

Nope. Masks won't protect a population like that. Proof is hospital staff contracting Covid over and over at the onset. If masks were all that is needed then there would be zero hospital staff getting Covid. But keep thinking that...

Masks aren't a panacea, and the more exposed a person is, the less effective masks become. Wearing masks during a trip to a grocery store that lasts no more than 30 minutes is an effective way to minimize spread. Working in a COVID-19 ward of a hospital for a 10-hour shift, and even with masks, the risk is much higher than the 30 minute grocery store shift. This risk increases exponentially if the hospital doesn't have enough PPE and has to re-use and/or share between medical workers. This happened way too often early in the pandemic, because we weren't prepared properly.

There have been numerous scientific studies that show the effectiveness of mask wearing to slow the spread of COVID-19. Slow, not stop, unfortunately, but slow is better than nothing. The science exists. I have no idea why people refuse to believe it.

Because they are the anti-science crowd.
His logic would lead you to believe seat belts have no value because a person wearing one still died when their car hit a bridge support at 150 mph.

After Fauci told us not to get masks in January when community transmission in the US wasn't occurring. Also after he told us to get masks in February when community transmission in the US was occurring.

Outside of repulsive partisan finger pointing, why does it matter? I swear you must eat red herring for breakfast.

And it was after. How about showing some effort and researching your own question?

Poor Dr. Fauci, he’s the guy that was supposed to know everything about something no one knew anything about.

Your post is old and tiresome.
