Just now? That's ridiculous. Masks have been mandatory at Amazon warehouses since April. I wear a mask 10 hours a day four days a week.

That’s freaking hilarious. Trump has had so many moments of stupendous stupidity, it is hard to keep up. We need a thread just to rehash his screw ups on a recurring basis.
    Comedy gold.

I wore my mask for 15 minutes when I went to Lowe's the other day. I thought I was going to die of CO2 poisoning. It was soooooooooo difficult. MY BODY, MY CHOICE! ;)

‘How Could the CDC Make That Mistake?’

The government’s disease-fighting agency is conflating viral and antibody tests, compromising a few crucial metrics that governors depend on to reopen their economies. Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, and other states are doing the same.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conflating the results of two different types of coronavirus tests, distorting several important metrics and providing the country with an inaccurate picture of the state of the pandemic. We’ve learned that the CDC is making, at best, a debilitating mistake: combining test results that diagnose current coronavirus infections with test results that measure whether someone has ever had the virus. The upshot is that the government’s disease-fighting agency is overstating the country’s ability to test people who are sick with COVID-19. The agency confirmed to The Atlantic on Wednesday that it is mixing the results of viral and antibody tests, even though the two tests reveal different information and are used for different reasons.

The widespread use of the practice means that it remains difficult to know exactly how much the country’s ability to test people who are actively sick with COVID-19 has improved.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Ashish Jha, the K. T. Li Professor of Global Health at Harvard and the director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, told us when we described what the CDC was doing. “How could the CDC make that mistake? This is a mess.”

Viral tests, taken by nose swab or saliva sample, look for direct evidence of a coronavirus infection. They are considered the gold standard for diagnosing someone with COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus: State governments consider a positive viral test to be the only way to confirm a case of COVID-19. Antibody tests, by contrast, use blood samples to look for biological signals that a person has been exposed to the virus in the past.

Article is from May 21st, not sure the point in posting outdated information. Also, based on your posting history I’d say you think this devalues the spikes in cases because it’s based on faulty data? This was discussed months ago, and it should not surprise anyone that two of the offending states in the article, Georgia, and Texas, are now seeing record cases every day. They’ve never taken testing seriously and they’ve never taken controlling the virus seriously. All they cared about in May was making it look like they’re testing and bring the infection rate down by inflating the testing numbers so they could reopen.

Updated stats from the world o meter site as of 8 am EDT. There were 12 states with a decrease in active cases and both NY and NJ were among the 12. There were 9 states with 1-2 deaths and 12 states with 0 deaths.

There is a valid reason to bring it up again if the CDC didn't correct how they count cases. I think it would be wise to only count new positive cases as opposed to counting someone who tests positive 2 or more times. I think most people want correct numbers. IF i had Covid-19 and then tested 2 more times and still tested positive, then that skews the numbers. There isn't even a debate about that. Now, how many people are testing positive multiple times? I don't know but i'm sure that is information that could be tracked.

This is why his numbers are tanking.
Just breathtakingly moronic. There’s no other good word for it.

I like that he acknowledges people's fears and doesn't try to make them let go of their fears, just offers three suggestions for tangible things they can do to help the people around them.

I'll share it. Thanks. Finally a level-headed, unemotional retort to things that people have generally found frustrating.

am i alone in my new belief in how numbers are reported? at about 11:30 today florida reported 10,000 plus new cases. these, imo, cannot be from today only, are they just reporting them when they are finalized, in other words some were tested 3,4,days ago and it took until today to get results? are other states doing this, i notice some on worldometer update 3 or 4 times a day, florida never seems to do so.are more reported positive on some days than others, just curious, no agenda.

What a great video! Thanks for posting!
I never for one second thought this was a hoax, but that the fears were overblown and risks overstated. I still think that.
I think a lot of the media has good intentions- and so they pump up the fear because

    1) they have a wide audience, and some of their audience absolutely needs to take it seriously.
    2) They obviously have a need for ratings.

All that said- good video and good advice.
