Actually, it relates to the stunning TWO MONTHS of neglect without any briefings by the White House Task Force, and Trump pretending the pandemic doesn’t exist. But you knew that.

Conservatives have it pretty easy on here, it is the trumpsters who get called out all the time, but they usually deserve because they try to defend the indefensible.

on masks. as many of you know i am against mandatory wearing, but alachua county has so ordered so i will.imo, however, this is a toothless mandate. was in publix earlier for about 15 minutes, saw at least 15 people w/o masks, yet none of the 20 or so employees i saw ever said a word to them, i think businesses are just to afraid to lose customers to say anything, like, wear a mask or leave.until a store gets numerous complaints, then local or county officers will come to the store to enforce, taking valuable manpower off the street to combat crime, also, am against the 125, 250, 500 dollar fines, just tell people no masks, no entry, no taking them off, if people do not want to do it, they starve.

Yep. Alachua is a blue county. It's not just redneck Trump supporters who are giving the finger to the man. We actually have less people here wearing masks than we did BEFORE the mask order was issued for the state.

Looks like another record day on tap. 25,223 new cases so far and counting.

really going to be critical looking in 2-3 weeks at the hospitalization and death numbers. are most of the new cases going to be just mild, or are the before mentioned rates going to skyrocket?

I don’t follow the numbers as closely as some but I am hoping the death rate continues to trend lower. Not sure if that is because the people getting sick are younger or because we are getting so much practice dealing with the infected.

When does the order go into effect? Many counties give to 5 pm the day of the order to comply.

Gosh... the administration is so... out of touch.

The coronavirus briefing or whatever today... like... Pence should be so ashamed.

fwiw, according to worldometer the number of critical cases dropped 700 from 2 days ago, do not know if deaths, discharges, or a combination of both is the reason.

I wouldn't put any faith in the "critical case" or "recoveries" from world o meters. That data is just too hard to obtain. Cases, deaths, and trends are what world o meters is good for. Cases and deaths are all coming from the state or local reporting usually through the health websites.

My Dad’s neighbors in Vero tested positive. They don’t wear masks and just returned from five days in Key West. Their 20 year old son has a heart condition.

My niece in Orlando contracted the virus last week. She’s got a long history of bad choices. She lives with her parents. Her Dad gets daily dialysis at home.

The gap in those curves are made from stories like those. Wear a mask, be smart. Our idiocy is part of the problem.
