They just used other countries there also to get to Italy. You fail to mention all the local Chinese there that flew back to Italy/Europe after visiting. They have a large number for their population size. You also failed to post the Chinese had people there after the outbreak requesting PC hugs from all the PC people and the mayor was even encouraging it. The Chinese during their initial hit are exactly why Italy is one of the worst spots right now. Western Europe's open borders made this possible.

There is a reason we wont have the Western European % and its Trump's early actions.

Wife just called after leaving the docs office in lake city. She gets an annual prolia injection. The desk clerk was telling everyone "the cronavirus is just like the flu"---its being overblown----

The numbers in the US are not low due to the "great job" Trump is doing, they are low because we are so incredibly far behind in testing. Talk about tone deaf.

Western Europe and them aren't just rounding people up and testing them. Even S Korea only did that in a few places. People are only getting tested that are clear suspects for the most part. We just have less cases per population than most of those western European countries. There are a ton more cases all over the world and in the US that haven't been tested because the person isn't being affected much. That is what happened to W Europe for being too PC at first. And even one country being smart on some things but not smart enough on their own borders got them.

The administration is ultimately responsible for getting the response to the coronavirus on point. Excuses are just that, excuses..

Reasons for the failures have to be addressed, regardless of who wins in November. I'm not a globalist, nor am i a pure nationalist. The idea of having our supply chain overseas, without any meaningful US capacity is, IMO, crazy. This is what we are experiencing now.. But it should have been attacked much earlier. The shortage of re-agents for the test kits is killing us. Why we have to rely on European suppliers, whose re-agent ingredients are on backorder, is nuts.

Also, the manufacture of mostly all our meds coming from China is insane.

IMO, Trumped botch the messaging, and didn't devote resources for the last few years for national health, terrible mistakes . I also believe that Trump was spot on in saying we need to have manufacturing back in the US. Biden was spot on saying that Medicare for all is a really bad idea. We need strong pharm companies with private sector research and development. Sanders is a windbag.

Well he has been about the only one trying to change that stuff some while the globalists opposed him at every turn.

Claiming the US has less cases because of Trump's travel bans and not because of not enough tests is a dangerous way of thinking. Here's reality.

Meanwhile, thousands of undetected coronavirus infections are likely coursing through the population, denying health officials knowledge of where to apply precious medical resources and local government strategies for implementing containment zones.
Here's an article that hits a lot closer to home for me. Less than 200 people in Arizona have been tested so far. Also says nationwide, less than 20,000 total tests. In comparison, S. Korea has tested over 200,000, and counting.

I'd also like to add that early and comprehensive testing was a more promising approach to the travel restrictions after community cases were detected in the US. Something about a barn and a horse.

I found an meta research article by the WHO about the overall ineffectiveness of travel restrictions for flu pandemics. A nice visual of this ineffectiveness can be seen in this must read article about flattening the curve (thanks @96Gatorcise).

I didn't know he had a MAGA hat or watched Fox news! He must be an idiot. (He is wrong. But he is not an idiot.)

The billionaire founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, emailed SpaceX employees Friday morning telling them that concerns over coronavirus were overblown.

In the email, which Buzzfeed obtained, Musk states: “As a basis for comparison, the risk of death from [coronavirus] is *vastly* less than the risk of death from driving your car home. There are about 36 thousand automotive deaths per deaths [sic], as compared to 36 so far this year for [coronavirus].”

Musk has made no secret of his thoughts about preparations made for the epidemic, calling panic about the virus “dumb” in a tweet last week.

You are going to have less tests with less people per population that need to be tested unless you are doing some random type testing.

What Trump has to deal with from the left. You are always wrong no matter what.

Here Congress is drilling the administration for ignoring academics who said not to impose the travel ban on Chinese citizens.

    That's pathetic.

What is up with India? Dense population, no testing. Is it not there or is it just way under reported?

China's active cases has dropped below 10k from a high of almost 60K.
Some good news on that front at least.

Yep, the complete draconian isolation system works. Unfortunately, probably the only way we slow it down too at this point.
