I could see why you don't like the thoughts on my posts, but I don't just make up ridiculous crap like you just did so I feel pretty good about that.

    Sure...
I'm sure you called out Cuomo for his handling of the elderly Covid19+ patients that he sent back to nursing homes...

You can't see thru the hypocrisy of your glasses.

9 unarmed blacks killed by police last year. Thousands of protesters arrested. One of these numbers seems bigger than the other.

yeah, why all the marching over 9 black men killed by police out of 7,400 black homicide victims. Seems a little odd to me, but as long as there is no looting or vandalism(pipe dream...) i fully support their protests.

This is the US covid-19 thread. You should put your con talking points regarding African Americans in another thread.

for those concerned about the high number of positive cases the last 2 days here in florida,it still comes out to about 5% positive.

Which only shows that the increased number of cases is not a function of more testing. If it were truly due to more testing, the positive rate would go down.

the positive rate is going down due to more testing. on may 1, the positive rate was 8.75%, as of yesterday it was down to 5.5% since testing began, so, yeah, it is going down

also, the current rate of positive tests is 9.7%, on may 1 it was 17%, so again, tell me that more testing does not lead to a lower positive percentage?

Oops. They will do anything to make the numbers look bad. It’s like they are hoping they are bad...

Here's a better question: What's your threshold for violent crimes?

I think you confused the word "better" for "nonsensical." Don't worry, happens to the best of us.

It most certainly is not. I discussed the post and stated that I think you had confused one word for another. An ad hominem would be if I was discussing your personal traits that led to the mistake in wording. Glad I could help!

I was only going by what you said in your post, which was that the positive rate was holding at around 5%. But since you brought it up I went back and looked at the numbers over the last 4 weeks. The positive rate is actually rising. For the week of 5/8-5/14 the rate was 3.78%. For 5/29-6/4 the positive rate was 4.44. That's despite there being 40,000 more tests conducted between 5/29 and 6/4 than there were between 5/8 and 5/14.

So number of tests are going up and the positive rate is going up. Bottom line, cases are rising and it's not because of more testing. Which of course makes sense to anyone who understands how diseases are transmitted.
