Outstanding message from President Bush. I struggle to resist contrasting this message with the types of communication and leadership we are subjected to by the current administration. I'll leave it at this: Nice work President Bush and thank you for your words of inspiration.

"no more bullshit" seems like a shortened version of "yeah, I know I said i was going to Make America Great Again and I totally shit the bed, but I am serious this time. No really, vote for me, this time I'm for keepsies."
I guess that didn't fit on a tanktop.

CDC's COVID Fatality Rate: Where Does It Come From? | National Review

Curious that the CDC hasn't been able to say where the data comes from underlying this estimate.

Kelly’s Heroes. Great movie. Clint Eastwood, Donald Southerland. An all star cast. I think Don Rickels too

The danger in areas that weren't hard hit is exponential growth. It's why you can't just ignore the problem. You need to test, trace, and isolate.

4 new cases in almost a month, what do they think, there will never be any more. people need to realize there are always going to be new cases, if the benchmark for remaining open is less than 4, well, we are all in trouble,

Actually. That is how you do it. When there are few cases. Because spread occurs before positive tests. And, when you shut down early, you can contact trace and then reopen faster. And, of people wear masks, reduce spread. City of 7 million. Read how Hong Kong and other places have done it. Dense place, too. Opinions are nice. But, the US adopted exactly your philosophy. There are only 15 cases. But, your philosophy is contrary to places that have had documented success. And more like the attitude in places that failed. It was very noticeable how the right wingers ignored all the countries I posted about upthread that succeeded doing the exact opposite of what the right is advocating here.

so, just how many new cases justify shutting down again? 4, 10, 400., 2,000, how many, because there are always going to be new cases, face the facts, we cannot open and shut like a revolving door.

Speaking of New Zealand, their Prime Minister is both gorgeous and an effective leader. Can we trade them Trump and a President to be named later for Jacinda Ardern?
