Truth be told @tilly it is not horrible in terms of quality of life. It is just.....too Bible Beltish, NASCAR Loving, NRA card carrying for my liking. However, my employer is here, so I will be here until I retire or they retire me early. That said, when I move, it will be back to Arizona. I loved living there.

I like the Bible part, though I often disagree with the natives on interpretation. My wife and our kids are from here, and we love Wilmington, but I do hope to head back to Tampa Bay at some point after the kids are grown and retirement shows up...but I have some convincing to do with the wife.

    ...oh and I HATE NASCAR.

Isn’t this whole thread pretty much nothing but hypotheticals? To say I’m “making stuff up” carries slightly more negative connotation than “stating a hypothetical” would. 95 says everything is fine and everyone should go about their business because there’s no risk. That’s no more concrete or factual than anything else stated here. If I’m just making stuff up, so is he.

everything is fine for anyone under 25. This is making crap up. Fear porn is what I’m talking about. Talking about “what if’s” is stupid. They have much greater risk of dying from the flu, or getting seriously injured on a football field. Go look at the data and tell me what’s wrong. You can choose to stat home. We will see if a football player does. Bet offer still stands. I’m not making up anything. I brought Facts. You bring hypotheticals or maybes. Let this sink in;1 in a million. Lee thinking about that...

There's a difference between "made up" and predicting/projecting. I think the projection was reasonable. Do you dispute it?

I answered it. Making up hypotheticals. I stated facts. Go to the CDC website and see the odds of dying under 25 and get back to me. And let me know when Lawrence doesn’t suit up for Clemson...

    That’s called making crap up.

This week, fun watching the clouds clear. Won’t shot in the pic but they were coming up from the valleys on both sides and meeting in this middle.

ha, looks like a struck a nerve. Still haven’t said anything about deaths in any of my posts yet somehow that’s all you’ve drawn from them. Stop making things up, I never said they’d die.

I looked at the CDC numbers. They show 10 times more people have died of covid-19 than the flu since February. They also show lower numbers of covid deaths than flu deaths for the 0-24 age group. But the 15-24 group that Lawrence is in shows higher number of deaths for covid than flu. Though both are very small percentage wise.

its 1 in a million for deaths under 24. Keep saying that to yourself. No idea where Covid19 ranks on cause of death under 24 but probably somewhere between lightning strike and shark attack. So basically means it’s not anything to worry about.

I'm a little late to your conversation. What are you arguing for? That there will be a college football season and there's nothing to worry about?

What are you arguing for? I have gone back some, and I still can't tell. Your main interest seems to be to put down the people you are arguing with.

I posted this six days ago and am updating. Have been tracking data at 3day intervals. These are the 3day increases for world and U.S.

    Date.......world cases.....world deaths.....U.S. cases.....U.S. deaths
    Apr3........255,940............14,061...............93,006...........4,731
    Apr6........258,072............16,907...............75,063...........6,212
    Apr9........278,941............15,389...............84,217...........5,238
    Apr12......239,189............12,376...............61,327...........3,388
    Apr15......284,608............15,658...............75,649...........5,082
    Apr18......266,271............11,660...............66,009...........3,474
    Apr21…...303,083………......14,472………........70,608…….......4,373
    Apr24…...303,683………......12,072………........65,534…….......2,946

World numbers are up, which may be due to increased testing. The best news appears to be the death numbers, which jumped on April 21, but came back down today.

    Bottom of a pint glass
Staying at home for most has little to do with being afraid. It has everything to do with selflessness in trying to protect others that are, in fact, more vulnerable. But a large swath of this country is too self absorbed to understand making personal sacrifice for other Americans. And those people unwilling to make even simple sacrifices are generally the same people that spout about being pro-life and pro-America. Go figure.

Just wondering if all of these people at this 1918 Ga Tech game were whining and bitching about having to wear a mask?? Also wonder if there is a clue in here about how the nation can move forward......and you know, act like responsible adults.

He doesn’t know, in fact he’s arguing with me and I have no clue what he’s arguing. Keeps making things up that were never said and avoiding the actual topics being discussed. Let me know if you figure out what he’s arguing.

we flattened the curve. That was the goal. Now it’s time to open back up. Shelter the elderly and sick. It’s not difficult. Colleges should open back up. They should try to have finals before thanksgiving so kids don’t go home, come back to school and then back home. Rather finish up at thanksgiving and if around elderly or sick make sure you wear a mask and or gloves and practice social distancing.

and let’s try not to send more Covid positive elderly patients back to nursing homes.
