Once we get handle on it, things will recover. Question is, how long will that be? What we are seeing in Italy, France, and Spain may very well happen here i.e. everything closed except grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and banks. It is vital that the supply chain keep going or literally all bets are off.

"There have been false promises from political leaders that have misled the American people about how quickly we could have a vaccination for coronavirus."

    He's talking about you, Donald.

We are about two weeks behind Italy, so keep an eye on what is happening with them.

and at this juncture we have no accurate assessment of how many people in the US are positive for covid-19. I suspect it is far higher than most would like to ponder

Some of our dismissive members really need to read the article. I’d tag them if I were allowed.

'Don't believe the numbers you see': Johns Hopkins professor says up to 500,000 Americans have coronavirus
In the U.S. there are over 1,600 confirmed cases, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), with 41 deaths. Makary said that the number of cases, though, is likely much higher.

“Don’t believe the numbers when you see, even on our Johns Hopkins website, that 1,600 Americans have the virus,” he said. “No, that means 1,600 got the test, tested positive. There are probably 25 to 50 people who have the virus for every one person who is confirmed.”

He added: “I think we have between 50,000 and half a million cases right now walking around in the United States.”

The uncertainty and the unknown is the most disturbing part from my seat in the upper deck. Hopefully we can get a measurable handle on this before it does to much damage. I'm having flashbacks, and not from Woodstock.

Just read the Pattaya Thailand news report that a man fell to his death by falling off his balcony. He had to run through his window to do it though. I digress...his room was full of face masks!
So, I am sure they will call this a Coronavirus caused death?

And.....once again, what difference does it make? In fact his numbers make the freaking out even more ridiculous simply by looking at the death that are counted.

Trish Regan from Fox business was taken off the air for parroting the Trump and calling it a democrat hoax.

Fox Business Host Trish Regan on Hiatus After Virus Comments

Regan, the host of “Trish Regan Primetime,” said Democrats and the “liberal media” were using the coronavirus to “destroy the president.” She blamed the stock market declines on Donald Trump’s rivals, calling it “another attempt to impeach the president.” While she spoke, the headline “Coronavirus Impeachment Scam” appeared next to her.
