because low mortality means fewer people seek medical help and it spreads easier. Look at the numbers for SARS.

that is my point. Colo schools are extending Spring break. Those kids are gonna be jammed onto shuttles, gondolas & ski lifts with people from all over the world b/c there is next to 0 risk to them.

As it currently sits I personally believe based on what many scientists have said that this disease is beyond containing, therefore I would go with 0.5% (since he qualified "with everything else being the same"). Had it been a known 10% killer from the beginning I think it would certainly not have been as widespread

Who cares what Trump does. I will take a lifetime of him gloating if we can get this thing under control and get back to normal.

My wife has a 100.5 fever, dry cough, etc., is on immunosuppressants, and we live in a county that’s had several cases of coronavirus. She’s called our state health authority and was told that unless she was over 60 or have traveled internationally they won’t test due to a scarcity of test kits. This administration has blown it.

My sister works in an ICU. Her friend is a charge nurse and has a cousin that treated the man from NY in St. Augustine. Two days after treating the man she got sick and is now on the ventilator. She's 32 and has asthma.

Also my sister is scheduled to work the ICU Sunday and will most certainly be treating the COVID-19 patient. I shudder at what she is going to deal with over the next several months. She's scared as hell.

The president lied about testing, it only seems fair.

Seems to be a huge logical error here. Like extremely stupid thinking. But we should expect no less.

If there are already confirmed cases in a county, why is "international travel" required for a test??? Seriously??? I challenge someone to give me an answer.

This is exactly why I think it's beyond control.
