FDA has granted emergency approval to 2 Anti-Body tests that demonstrate 99.8/9% specificity and 100% sensitivity. That means that the this greatly reduces the likelihood of false positives.

Study suggests Abbott COVID-19 antibody test highly likely to give correct results

Doesn’t a mask give you more privacy? Like if I ever wanted to rob a Seven-11, it would give me more privacy to hide my face? I think it would be far more interesting to debate if anyone could wear a ski mask walking into such store pre pandemic (I’m sure it was allowed in South Florida in the summer, but am not a lawyer).

The Gainesville man’s case is comical. Being forced to wear clothes at Waffle House violates my constitutional right to privacy.

Ha. This reminds me of our young son’s use of the word. Sometimes he would be shy about his sister seeing him going to the bathroom, so he would want the door closed because “I don’t want her to see my privacy.”

The burka wearers are probably in hog heaven. (pun intended)

What a better way to justify covering your face for something other than armed robbery. ;)

I’m in small town NC (Lincolnton) today after a hike. Place is bustling. Phase 1 might as well be phase 100. Only thing you can’t do is sit in a restaurant and no one is wearing a mask - maybe 5%. Not a criticism just an observation.

This is what I don’t understand. Everyone wants to get back to normal as quickly as possible but some folks refuse to do things to help move us along. Why is wearing a mask such a line in the sand?

why does the alachua county commision seem to think they need to require more stringent occupancy restrictions for businesses than the state?

I was posting about masks. It appears you’re confused.

why is following the state guidelines so hard for the commision to do? again, putting more stringent conditions on business occupancy than the state has set hurts, not helps, businesses, imo.

Because they are more concerned about safety than about profits?

no, my point is that this individual has taken acception to the county commision going above and beyond the state requirements, ie not making wearing a mask mandatory., plus, i also pointed out they are going above and beyond the state occupancy requirements, do we need 67 different county rules when 1 from the state will suffice?

To some it’s a signal that you’re a slave to liberals and the virus isn’t a hoax if you wear one.

Others just hate wearing one. I get that. I hate it too. I only wear it at the grocery store cuz my wife makes me otherwise I would be inconsiderate and a bad citizen with everyone else.

The state is led by a bunch of idiots more worried about elections than safety?

so, instead of 1 policy issued from the state, you would like each of the 67 counties in florida to make up their own rules, trying going from county to county and keeping track, masks in one, none in others, almost complete shutdown in some, some almost fully open like marion/ocala, talk about a cluster.

We have mounting evidence that says that if you are in an open space, especially during the hottest part of the day, and you leave some distance between you and everyone else, the likelihood of you contracting/spreading this disease is minimal. i have no issue being outside on a walk, jog, the tennis courts, etc.....without masks.

There is still no reason at all for me to be in an enclosed space other than my house for the most part. When i visited my doctor last week, wearing a mask was compulsory, but i would have worn one anyway understanding that this place is a place of much higher risk for virus transmission.

Put don't you think the different parts of the state should be treated differently? Miami-Dade county is totally different from Duval county.
