    let me ask you a question. you own a business, and at the end of the year your accountant comes to you and says, well you might have made money, you might have lost money, i dont really know because i was not accurate in how i did my figures, just threw stuff from here and there in and what came out came out. that is what happens when you continually throw in numbers to the death figures you think are covid19, also, those numbers are also thrown in with the case numbers, inflating them, although we all know there are most likely hundreds of thousands of cases that were not ever tested, thus in reality driving the death rate way down.

    1900 deaths is not looking really good. 1900 deaths is really bad.

    That's great, but he needs to understand that no policy about reopening things will change due to NY adding in "old" deaths. It may confuse Joe pickup but not people that are actually in charge.

    You saying these people didn't die from covid19 does not change the reality that most, if not all, of them died from covid19. If you want to reopen states, you should want acurrate numbers. I get the strong feeling you don't want accurate numbers though.

    let me ask all you out there who have a problem with me wanting accuracy in the reporting of death numbers. be 100% honest and truthfull, do you deep down in your heart of hearts really,truely believe the 500 from today and the 3800 from earlier were all covid19 deaths ?you do not think 20-30% could not be from something else?i asked for honesty, so do I believe none were from covid19,of course .not, just like I believe all were not from covid19, I think about 70% or so were. my point is that, imo, it is better not to report numbers .at all if you cannot report them accurately. this is to important not to try and get as close to 100% accuracy as possible, meaning dotting every I, and crossing every T, and if me desire for proper, honest reporting ruffles some of your feathers,so be it. remember, answer 100% truthfully, thank you.

    Yes, I believe the vast majority of those 500 and 3800 were covid-19 deaths. And even counting them all as covid-19 deaths, it still doesn't add up to all the excess deaths NY has seen the last couple of months compared to an average March and April. So how do you explain that?

    I truly believe that if these doctors believed all of the deaths we're from COVID then that is good enough. Since we are up to 75k dead I don't believe that unknowingly including a small portion of deaths that weren't by COVID will make any difference at all. Look up any mass casualty situation in history and you will never get an exact number. Also are you saying they shouldn't add any of these deaths even though you claim that 20-30% aren't? Can't you see the underreported deaths could be bad? You say we need to be as close to 100% accurate as possible so then why would throwing out the cases that were more than likely COVID related contribute to being more accurate? We are not wasting tests on the dead, period. The best we can do is to leave it up to the only people qualified to decide, doctors.

    Guys, we are going to have to bite the bullet. This country has gone through the Civil War, WW1, Spanish flu, WW2, ‘nam. ‘Nam really wasn’t that big compared to the others. We’re going to have a lot of death. But we’ve been here before. We need to face it courageously. We cannot cower in a corner.

    well then, since we are throwing in deaths into the equation, lets throw in, say 2 million untested positive cases who have recovered, that drops the death rate to less than 2%, is that right, of course not, but just as all those deaths were called from covid19, the 2 million are called as recovered, remember, anyone can make numbers say what they want them to say.

    'Shocking' Data: Majority of New Yorkers Got Coronavirus at Home
    Americans are continuing to sacrifice a lot during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, so it'd be nice to know those sacrifices served some greater purpose other than hurting the economy. Well, some bad news on that front: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) now says new data shows most New Yorkers are contracting the Wuhan coronavirus while obeying the state's strict lockdown orders.

    "If you notice, 18 percent of the people came from nursing homes, less than one percent came from jail or prison, two percent came from the homeless population, two percent from other congregate facilities, but 66 percent of the people were at home, which is shocking to us," Gov. Cuomo said on Wednesday.
    So if less than one percent came from the jails or prisons, why are we letting criminals out? It looks like the prisons and jails are the safest places to be right now, according to the governor's stats. And if 66 percent of people are getting the virus in their houses, can we end the house arrest now?

    "This is a surprise," Gov. Cuomo admitted. "Overwhelmingly, the people were at home. We thought maybe they were taking public transportation, and we’ve taken special precautions on public transportation, but actually no, because these people were literally at home."

    The data cited by the governor was compiled from about 1,000 coronavirus patients in 100 or so New York hospitals, according to Gov. Cuomo.

    Cuomo said almost 84 percent of the hospitalized patients did not commute to work using public transportation, car services, personal vehicles, or even on foot. The majority were either retired or unemployed and about 73 percent over the age of 51.

    That's exactly what's gonna happen. Based on more testing data some time in the future the CDC will estimate how many total infections and deaths there were. They do that for the flu every year.
