What exactly do you have against Bill Gates?

 

He's the MAGA boogie man this week, don't ya know? They like to keep it simple when confronted with medical science, economic tradeoffs and falling polls.

 

He's smart and does a lot of philanthropic work. Plus, you know, he lives in the Seattle area.

 

Bill Gates will go down as one of the greatest philanthropist and men of our times, on top of being one of the greatest businessmen. He has been attacking diseases world wide for decades using billions of his personal wealth.

BUT, he told the truth about covaid and upset Trump. Ergo, to a segment of folks he is a "liberal" or probably had something to do with creating covaid. Read the post a page earlier about how building a wall stops diseases from entering this country.... as if there are no airports. There are folks in this country whose views of the world defy understanding, and who attack every person who challenges Trump as: a liberal, a commie, a Trump-hater, etc. History will not be kind, if we can get thru this...

 

. Gates is smart, long ago predicted a pandemic and the consequences and discussed how we needed to respond. We were not ready and did not respond. And Gates has drawn in his studies knowledge to address this on a way that makes Trump and the administration look incompetent. So they attack at all costs.

And Trump did not listen to his scientists or anyone else in that string of lies he said. He as told one January this would happen and lied. And, you apparently missed the quote where Trump admitted in one of his press conference that he knew this was going to be bad, but lied anyway. He called it a hoax? Which scientist called it a hoax? He said 15 cases would go to zero? Which scientist told him that. Go through the article and support your false assertions with links that Trump’s falsities were supported by science. And, can’t blame the media for what comes out of his mouth? Are the near one million cases 54,000 deaths in 5 plus weeks a lie? What scientist told him that the 15 cases would be zero soon and the virus would go away? Did you believe him? Did you live your life following what he said? And you could not be more wrong about 2020. But that is another thread.

 

Rational, objective, supported by evidence, and well-balanced. I especially liked the part about the wall preventing viruses from coming across the border. Freudian slip?

 

Shout out to @oragator1 who has been posting hiking photos. We made it out to the St Louis river at J Cooke st park this weekend. Found a secluded trail along the river. Dog was happy.

 

Florida Department of Health now has cases broken down by county. What I find interesting is South FL, (Broward, Palm Beach and Dade) have the strictest stay at home orders and continue to be the only area with big problems. Most other counties seem to have a very low rate of positive cases compared to those tested and overall pretty low numbers.

That's where population density is the highest.

 

I've been saying this for a while now. Not only are people openly rebelling and protesting, but a lot of people aren't heeding to the restrictions and it's still spreading. I say just open it all up and if people are nervous about going out, let them stay home on their own volition.

 

I know that, but those counties even compared to Orange county with a large population has a much higher % positive per test.

Orange County has a 3% positive test rate, Dade is 13% and Palm Beach is 7%, granted Dade has far and away tested the highest number of people, but you would think with the strictest lock down measures they would be seeing less cases over the past few weeks, that isn't happening. I still really wish they would should net new cases, new cases compared to those who have recovered.

 

so much wrong here I don't know where to start. I hope you broaden your source of information and understand that not everybody that disagrees with Trump is a commie loving leftists who wants us to be invaded by latins. Don't let Trump drag you down into that hate hole. You are better than that.
