Helping bear the burden of losing a child to miscarriage - The Early Pregnancy Loss Association (miscarriagecare.com)
How to Bury Your Baby After a Miscarriage (catholicstand.com)
Burial After a Miscarriage: How It Works | Cake Blog | Cake: Create a Free End of Life Plan (joincake.com)

Technically a miscarriage is a pregnancy loss that occurs before twenty weeks gestation, after that it is considered a stillbirth. Legislation in the United States varies from state to state, but most states do not require any sort of burial or funeral.

Just because it’s not required, doesn’t mean you can’t have one.
Having a burial or funeral for your miscarried baby can be a meaningful way to honor their short life and help give you and your family some sort of closure.

Your wrong, when are you going to realize your opinion is just that. Everyone grieves differently. As you put it you had a rough 2 or 3 days, I'm sure your wife still thinks about this at times. I know my mom who's in her 80's still does

I don’t think it’s nearly the same though. Hell, we see several people on this very thread referencing having mothers and wives that miscarried at least once. Why do you think that is? Because as many 40% of all pregnancies actually end in miscarriage (most with the woman not yet even realizing she’s pregnant, officially it’s 10-20% of “known” pregnancies ending in miscarriage). Hell, 100 years ago it wasn’t unusual to lose children. My grandmother was blinded by small pox and lost 2 of her 12 children as toddlers.

Not every case is the same, I’m sure for people who planned to get pregnant or who had difficulty conceiving, it would be more devastating so they might be more likely to mourn even a relatively early miscarriage. Whereas people with no such issues, or who actually didn’t want or intend to get pregnant in the first place, they would be less likely to mourn. Obviously the timing plays a role as well. The farther into the pregnancy is going to be more upsetting (and that applies both physically and emotionally).

I realize Florida's moronic governor has declared global warming does not exist, but Dengue fever cases are on the rise both globally and in the US. This is due largely to hotter, wetter weather creating more breeding opportunities for mosquitos. Two cases of non-travel related Dengue Fever have been reported in Monroe County and a warning as been issued. I am sure that Governor De-brainless will simply declare Dengue to no longer exist in a well thought-out state level response.

Oh, and, fun fact, Dengue is one of those diseases that provokes a worse reaction on the 2nd time you are infected with it, and rarely the third. I say rarely because few survive a third infection.

Health officials in the Florida Keys issue a dengue fever alert

Although clearly not what the poster intended, supporters of the defeated indicted former president (who sadly may win the election in November) routinely tell us that those who are concerned about the events January 6, 2021 are overreacting. An example of why we may be on the road to tyranny.

I certainly agree with you in principle, having worked in the ER for over 15 years I saw it with some regularity so my experience may be different than some. Saw reactions from one end of the spectrum to the other.

Obviously further along it’s more emotional for most. And you’re correct to note many miscarriages end before the mother even knows they are pregnant. Having watched my wife have one about 8 weeks in her reaction was a bit more than some. (We found out very early with blood test as she was very regular and very excited to be a mother). She was very worried for months about being able to carry a child to term as she was over 30(she tends to be a worrier).
I can’t imagine how she would have reacted if it hade been say 12-16 weeks after an US or two.

You may or may not know locally acquired Degue is hardly rare. In fact we are still well below historical averages.
    IMG_0788.png

CDC has data going back to 2010 over 10k cases.
That’s doesn’t include when travelers bring it in those are counted separately.

I’m curious as to how much the increase in world wide cases and US cases is due changes in spraying to kill mosquitoes(both frequency and chemical bans).
I know when I was a kid I saw spray trucks all the time. Now it’s rare.

Buffalo-horned eccentrics take selfies with Capitol guards then place feet on Nancy Pelosi’s desk. Darkest day in American history. Martha Raddatz wept.

. . . and the Palisade Head looking north to Shovel Point, which is at Tettegouche State Park. This vista point is on a rock cliff about 200ft above the lake.

I’ve been making the case for over four years now. Welcome to the ranks. And thanks for keeping crimes against humanity and historic mass-derangement on the front page!

Meanwhile, Trump is the first president since Herbert Hoover who actually left office with less jobs than when he entered, but let’s not bring facts into this. Lol.
