'Nothing is out of the question': What it would take for the Fed to start buying stocks

Some econmists think the Federal Reserve should buy stocks to prop up the market, seems far fetched but it's the cnbc headline right now. I really hope it doesnt come to this. Just let stocks run their course.... Plus, since it takes an act of Congress, it seems like a power that will get abused in the future anytime the president and Congress are aligned politically.

It's an abuse of reasoning about such projections.

You can question every nation's numbers based on the same logic.
"....the tests, even if widely available, can be unreliable — and effectively
useless to people without symptoms or those who test negative, because
they can face exposure moments after getting the results."

Don’t need to think about it for more than 2 seconds. Put more thought into it than the President did and called this 2 weeks ago. Was common sense.

Trump and his cult were praying for a miracle.

Kudlow is an economic guy, and not a very good one, so his opinion on this should have been considered worthless in the first place.

But there's no doubt that soundbite will go down in historical infamy, along with many others from the early stages of this pandemic.

The crazy thing is they thought it was serious enough to stop travel from China, but didn't consider that Americans traveling from China could be bringing back the virus... one of the biggest ways they dropped the ball was screening and tracking those returning travelers. I know this is with retrospect, but considering how bad it was on the ground in Wuhan, we really needed to quarantine every single person coming back to this country. Not sure how that gets done, and normally for any other emergency you bring Americans back home, but in a pandemic it is a disaster to bring people home without a plan. Might have been better to just leave everyone in place. The travel is what really spread this virus everywhere.

Yeah, the Kudlow quote will go down with his talk of how the economy was going to boom due to Bush from December 2007. People thought no way he could do worse than that, but he gave it a good shot here.

So we are over a month into the crisis, every major decision has already been made, and now he decides to understand what was at stake?
How in God’s name is he still president?

No sir. Trump lied. And people believed him. He is the POTUS. His job includes leveling with the people about a national emergency. Now he says he saw a model where 2.2 million people die. He did not mention that in his hoax presser or his 15 to zero cases discussion or his back to works by Easter proclamation. He came clean today because Fauci was out in front of him on the talk shows.
