Considering that no peer nation has stated that nobody should take the vaccine (or called it the "Anti-Christ," which Ladapo did just yesterday), I would say the CDC. Generally, countries recommend a relatively high proportion of their country's residents take the vaccine. This is especially true in regards to the first two doses. That is not Ladapo (or your) position. Nor has it ever been.

Most countries have pretty much halted the mRNA vaccines for a majority of their population. They may advise certain health risks or some over 65 in certain circumstances. But they do not recommend most of their population take the shot anymore.

The countries that you listed don't recommend "some over 65" to take vaccines. They suggest everybody over 65 take the boosters (and all adults and quite a few children to take the initial vaccines). Why are you saying something easily proven false?

Why are the vaccine-promotive arguing for pharmaceutical interventions that can easily be proven unnecessary ?

The point I really object to with Ladapo is his statement that the risk of the vaccine is that it may integrate into genomic DNA. This is biologically not possible, which is what any vaccine scientist, the FDA, CDC, or any other country regulatory agency will tell anyone, this is not an issue with the mRNA vaccine. Either Ladapo is completely ignorant of basic biological principles, and therefore not qualified for his position, or he is purposely spreading misinformation for political messaging.

If he had any way to directly criticize the safety or efficacy, all the data is there for him to do that. He chose not to, and instead made up something that has no relevance. I am sure he is being paid to oppose the vaccine is making up stuff to scare people.

It’s a trade-off between viruses and Lapado. Viruses don’t exist and therefore vaccines, which can injure and kill, are wholly unnecessary. On the other hand, Lapado may be off-base on how vaccines harm.

    Easy choice for me.

They recommend only a minority of the population take the shot. To take your cute but ignorant approach to debate. You said countries recommend a “high proportion” of their populations take the vaccine. That is not the case and you know it. Ladapo until recently was take it for certain groups. He recently has moved to no one should take it. Ahead of the game if you ask me. But medicine is Art and Science. The idiots at the cdc are terrible at both aspects!

Seriously there is no need to take these shots anymore based on where we are at as a whole. Yet the idiots at the cdc still want to jab young kids (Pfizer and Moderna are getting paid). The idiots at the cdc should be liable for the malpractice they are committing in offering public health guidance. The rest of the world by and large only says people over 65 should consider it.

I check this thread every three or 4 months (as I started it almost 4 years ago) and I can't believe people are still bickering about the vaccine.

Is there a way to set an alert when the first person on either side changes their mind?

You might be right on the first point. But based on Ladapo’s history. He has been slow to speak and when he does. It has turned out to be right. Hence he has been ahead of the game with where Public Health across the world from our peers has gone. If you follow the big picture you see says something the left in our county loses their mind over. But the rest of our peers end up implementing shortly after. Only our cdc continues to double down in the opposite direction lol.

It's hard to imagine anybody with an ounce of common sense getting the jab anymore, it would shock me one bit if most of our locals haven't got their recent boosters.
Except for @AzCatFan that dude is a lost cause I bet he's had multiple boosters

I keep holding onto hope. I switched sides in 2021. Prior to that, all my life, I believed in viruses and by extension - vaccines.

Seriously! How you can graduate from UF and not see where we are with Covid. I know there are some we disagree with that took the shots and a booster or two. But they even now understand they don’t need it.

It really is amazing that people still take it imo. But that is the power of propaganda and psychosis.

Simple. Data. Figures don't lie, but liars figure. And a study out of Hong Kong shows the efficacy of reducing pediatric hospitalization rates for both kids 3 - 11 and 12 - 18.

Vaccine effectiveness of BNT162b2 and CoronaVac against COVID-19-associated hospitalization and moderate-to-severe disease due to SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.2 is studied from the 1.36 million doses administered to 766,601 of 953,400 children aged 3–11 years and adolescents aged 12–18 years in Hong Kong as of April 2022. These vaccines confer substantial protection.
But what study compares to a YouTube video from an oncologist!!!! I get all my medical advice about viruses and communicable diseases from a Dr. that specializes in cancer and posts on YouTube! Is there a better source?

Oh, and kids need to be in school, right? Well, this study shows had kids 5-17 taken the bivalent shot, it would have saved both hospital visits and school absenteeism.

In this decision analytical model, increased uptake of COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccination among eligible age groups was associated with decreased hospitalizations and school absenteeism in the pediatric population. These findings suggest that although COVID-19 prevention strategies often focus on older populations, the benefits of booster campaigns for children may be substantial, protecting them both directly and indirectly. In contrast, the cost of inaction may be high, with potentially millions more days of school absenteeism and thousands of preventable hospitalizations.
But who needs data when you have a state Surgeon General that doesn't even have 300 level understanding of basic biology!

But according to some posters (lol) all that data would only be for individuals with not one ounce of common sense. Years of data shared on this thread but still no way to fix stupid.

Okay, what percentage of the UK population fits under any of their categories:

    • residents in a care home for older adults

    • all adults aged 65 years and over

    • persons aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group, as laid out in the Immunisation Green Book, COVID-19 chapter (Green Book)

    • frontline health and social care workers

    • persons aged 12 to 64 years who are household contacts (as defined in the Green Book) of people with immunosuppression

    • persons aged 16 to 64 years who are carers (as defined in the Green Book) and staff working in care homes for older adults
You made a claim that this not a high percentage of their population. Time for you to show that it isn't by showing what percentage it is.

Okay, so you now admit that his current stance doesn't align with other countries, which was your initial claim. Thank you for your admission. I know you want that to be the case, but it isn't. Sorry.

Yep, we know that you think that your engineering degree gave you a medical background. Now, apparently, it also gives you a legal background. And the last sentence is factually false as shown by your own examples (which don't only say that people over 65 should consider it, but rather say that everybody over 65 should take it and that many other people should as well).

    LOL!

decision analytical model to give you an answer that you use to make yourself feel better about giving your kids a shot they never needed. And when you know kids were harmed by being kept out of in person learning. The arrogance. The insanity. On full display.
